Core Systems & Progression
Skill Levels:
Implemented a leveling system for skills. For example, Oldaric's Blessing of Might now features 4 distinct levels, allowing for deeper character customization.
Class Expansion:
The Warrior class now has 19 skills, and the Archer class has 21 skills available to learn.
Tower Overhaul:
The tower generation and room layouts have been completely recreated from scratch. The tower now features 5 floors (with more to come in the future). Each floor now fully saves its state, including opened doors, explored areas, dropped items, triggered traps, and defeated enemies.
Debug Tool:
Added a new button to the Debug Menu: Reset Tower Floor. This action resets the current floor to its initial state (player at entrance), removing all items, opened doors, traps, and defeated monsters explored and reset them. Use this only in emergencies if a floor becomes broken because of saved files from previous version or futur versions.
New Content & Visuals
New Enemy Appearance:
Mother Abomination now has a new, more terrifying and grotesque look.
Wound System:
Some Enemies now display visible wounds when their HP drops below a certain percentage. There are 4 levels of wounds, increasing in severity as HP decreases.
Bleeding Mechanics:
Added 4 types of bleeding status effects: Scratch, Gash, Laceration, and Hemorrhage. They deal 1 to 4 HP of damage per turn depending on the severity and can stack.
New Equipment:
- Arms: Added Padded Arm Wraps (a basic upgrade over leather gloves or nothing), Leather Bracers w/ Gloves, and Mail Gloves.
- Legs: Added Padded Chausses and Mail Chausses.
Bug Fixes
Inn Recruitment Save Glitch:
Fixed an issue where recruited party members would respawn with 1 HP after saving and quitting.
Switch Arms Stats:
Fixed the battle menu where switching arms did not update the player character's modified stats. It now works correctly.
Target Icon Glitch:
Fixed a bug where target icons at the top of the screen did not disappear when selecting a new target.
Enemy Turn Menu Glitch:
Fixed a critical issue where opening the "Switch Arms" menu during an enemy's turn would spawn an empty dialogue box that never disappeared.
Item Price Display:
Fixed a bug where item prices displayed incorrectly in the buying menu.
Turn Lock Glitch:
Fixed a severe bug where killing a target in one hit would prematurely end the player's turn and permanently lock them out of the game (due to an invalid target persisting).
UI & Camera Improvements
Switch Arms Menu:
The battle menu now displays stats and item descriptions for equipment, making it easier to choose the right gear.
Camera Logic:
The camera no longer automatically switches to the target's front view for every attack. It now only switches if the damage inflicted is at least 50% of the target's current health, giving the combat a more unique and cinematic feel.
