Rulers now place real monthly demands on cities, including Gold, goods and political pressure. Their happiness, deadlines and consequences are tracked clearly through the Country Panel.
Royal demands and city finances now connect to the wider political simulation instead of acting as isolated notifications.
Sieges and the World Map
When a ruler's happiness reaches zero, eight knights and a battering ram advance from the city edge toward the Town Hall. Without an active Defensive Tower, the city can be looted before the force withdraws.
Sieges close the city gates, keep citizens inside the walls and publish ruler- and city-specific news. Movement follows the same pause and game-speed rules as the rest of the simulation.
The eastern and southern world map has been rebuilt as one continuous European texture, while all 18 original city and route positions remain unchanged.
Kingdoms Mode now opens automatically for new games and WorldScene saves, with clearer ruler panels, speech bubbles and map presentation.
Guild and Town Hall
The Alderman's Office now offers Prosperity of {City} and Become a Hanseatic City measures, with monthly limits, assignment rules, public calls and persistent progress.
The Measures board presents owners, cities, required goods and delivery progress across three large, readable cards.
Town Hall missions now show both mission choices together. Mayors can switch their selection before creation, while active missions have clearer accept, cancel and reward behavior.
School funding and progress are now managed only through City Council, with the Mayor's School card presenting its cost, duration and build state consistently.
Interface, Sound and Performance
Fleet searches, mission panels, notifications and shared parchment popups now provide clearer feedback instead of empty or silent failure states.
Ship, city, mission and reputation lookups now use identity-based indexes, reducing repeated full-list scans as campaigns grow.
The music catalog now features Battle Music by Alexandr Zhelanov under CC BY 3.0, while ruler voices and several WorldScene presentation details have been refreshed.
Numerous layout, localization and readability fixes have been applied across English, German, Indonesian, Polish and Turkish.
