Patch Notes

World and Weather

  • The renewed 3D northern world map is now the default view, with richer terrain, clearer coastal waters, ship wakes, city emblems, night lighting, and moonlit seas.
  • Rain gradually wets the landscape, while clear weather dries it. Snow follows elevation and builds up or melts over time. These transitions respect pause and game speed.
  • City menus now show ships in port and a Required Goods table for products that are out of stock. Product names appear on hover, and the icons have consistent sizing.
  • Planned port visits appear as a dotted route on the world map. Ships also follow the corrected southern sea passage between Lübeck and Malmö.
  • Kingdoms Mode has clearer political borders and clickable ruler portraits. Country details scroll cleanly without moving the map behind the panel.

Trade and Ships

  • AI merchants can consider every city when planning trade. Their fleet size, travel distance, expected profit, and busy sea corridors influence route choices; older saves rebalance congested routes.
  • A new game offers one second-hand ship with a worn hull in a valid port. Better offers arrive later, while unsold listings are kept to a manageable number.
  • Auto Trade sells only what a destination needs to reach its target stock, leaving the rest aboard. In Manual Trade, right-clicking the amount control sells up to 10 goods to the selected city.
  • The city card’s Local Trade action now opens the city you selected. Trade Ledger can sort goods by local production, and ShipPanel cargo can be sorted by quantity.

Cities and New Games

  • Mints are now permanent municipal projects. Eligible merchants can fund one through the City Council; after mayoral approval, it can be built through Architect.
  • Trading Posts show the Hanseatic City promotion before later municipal projects become available.
  • New Game offers starting Gold choices from 5,000 to 100,000. Your Kingdoms Mode choice also carries over to the next new game, even if you quit without saving.
  • The Gameplay options include a Max City Profit setting from 30% to 100%. Town Hall transport mission rewards have been brought into the 500–1,500 Gold range.

Interface and Readability

  • Town Hall, Architect, Ledger House, Trade Ledger, Load, Options, and several confirmation windows take up less screen space while preserving their controls and readable text.
  • Architect cards have consistent building artwork and Build buttons. Gold, Wood, and Brick costs sit in a dedicated row, and the Production list keeps its scroll position when refreshed.
  • Guild pages have improved spacing for privileges, merchants, missions, and council information across supported languages. The opening artwork and membership ribbon are easier to read.
  • Bid Panel details and the Buy button now fit inside their frame. Shipyard material icons sit more cleanly in their sockets and show product names on hover.
  • The New Game panel has better-aligned controls, and Escape closes the panel before returning to the main-menu exit behavior.
