Province: Suroste · published · build 24843673

Players can now parry incoming sword attacks when fighting without a shield.
Parrying happens automatically and its chance of success depends on your Agility. Characters with higher Agility will be more likely to deflect an enemy's attack during melee combat.
It is now possible to dodge arrows fired by enemy archers.
Like parrying, dodging happens automatically and is influenced by your Agility. Investing in Agility now provides an additional defensive advantage against both melee and ranged opponents.
Flocks of birds can now randomly appear throughout the world.
You may find them resting on the ground while exploring. Get too close and the entire flock will take off and disappear into the sky, accompanied by the sound of beating wings.
This is a small addition, but one intended to make travelling through the wilderness feel a little more alive and unpredictable.
Several visual issues with the game's shaders have been fixed.
Fixed excessively bright lighting when several light sources were close together
Fixed mountain terrain becoming unnaturally dark on surfaces facing away from the sun
Various shader and lighting improvements
With these improvements complete, development will now focus on the next major update, v0.2.0.
The next update will expand Province: Suroste with a new region and the city of Ashford.
Thank you for playing Province: Suroste and for supporting the game during Early Access.
