💽 Patch Notes — v0.6.12

New

  • Battles are staged in a real place now: true ground receding to the horizon, lit paving with cast shadows, depth haze, tree lines and ruined set dressing (colonnades, walls, stairs, rubble) — across every biome and dungeon room
  • Battlefield dressing varies per battle: pillars and stairs come and go between rooms, grass grows out of the mortar seams
  • Battles open with the camera looking out over the horizon, then rising to the fight as the screen wipes in
  • Hits shake the camera itself instead of the whole screen, and the chain-window zoom is now a real camera dolly
  • A campsite now waits on the road before the Tower — a free full-party heal over a beat of campfire banter
  • The ability diamond stays on screen while you aim, dimmed around your selected ability
  • New tutorial beats for your first knockout, revive and rally, and the chain tutorial now spotlights the CHAIN! callout itself
  • The weaver gets her own introduction when your drawn partner joins the party
  • Fire Slime now glows and burns properly
  • Sharper rendering on high-DPI displays
  • Performance overlay for the curious (toggle via the perf console verb)

Fixed

  • The feast fate recipe now arms correctly when drawn mid-run
