💽 Patch Notes — v0.6.11

New

  • Fair, a new NPC who comments on how your battles went at the tally screen. She keeps her name to herself for now — and holds her tongue through your opening fights before pacing herself after that.
  • The three sisters now reveal themselves in stages, each stage deciding the name and portrait she's attributed with: the tarot reader becomes The Weaver, then Fate; the shop keeper becomes the Chaos Witch, then Fray, keeping a silhouette until she names herself.
  • A weaver is guaranteed on the map until you've met one, so a first run can't miss the dungeon-boss prediction.
  • The Chaos Witch now waits until your party has a loadout worth rerolling before she appears on the road.
  • The first shop you ever visit sells only food.
  • Overworld nodes you can no longer reach fray over, so the map only previews paths you can still walk.
  • Throw previews show nominal damage before you pick a direction.
  • Dungeon map room selection is a green grid cursor — gamepad moves between enterable rooms, mouse hover drives the same cursor.
  • Preview multiplier labels carry source icons, so you can see which system each multiplier came from — combo streak, ability scaling, Reaper's snowball, or the target's own statuses.
  • The Dungeon Explorer doubles gold he personally collects.
  • Cookout's pot simmers itself down each round as well as on every hit, and now takes 5 HP to crack open.

Changed

  • Kuzushi is free for the Wrestler, giving the class a guaranteed first-run unlock.
  • Only your very first battle ever suppresses loot drops — every new run no longer replays the drought.
  • Enemy threat costs retuned: Razor Wasp Hive, Kappa, Noxious Weed and Ice Slime cost more; Crab, Zombie and Bombie cost less.
  • Mech fists are tougher (60 HP, rebooting a turn sooner), but fist-into-body hits land softer.
  • Pillars take 12 wear per impact.
  • Abilities shove the screen directionally on impact — Falling Mountain drives it down, Rising Pillar and Wild Strike lift it up, Pickpocket pulls it left.
  • The Stable Master and the opening dohyo spar have been removed.

Fixed

  • New Game tells the story from the top again — hints and the sisters' reveals no longer carry over into a fresh game.
  • The weaver now hides behind the fray like everything else.
  • Noxious Weed can spawn again.
  • A hazard spawned onto a unit now triggers on it.
  • Charged Smoke Screen poisons units already standing in the cloud.
  • The Crystal Pillar stops line attacks it can't be hurt by, and previews trim at it to match.
  • Item descriptions state what they actually hand over — gold and food pickups were naming the wrong amounts.
  • Dialogue lines without a portrait keep the portrait column indent.
