Update 0.2.1 – Minimap Improvements & Bug Fixes

Leonardo's Island · published 7 Oct 2026, 08:03 UTC · build 25758321

All newsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

Hello everyone!

This is a smaller update, but it includes several important bug fixes and some improvements to the minimap.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue with the biggest mast in the game.

  • Fixed cases where entering matchmaking could fail when the connection was unstable.

  • Fixed a rare issue when saving or deleting ships.

  • Several other small fixes and improvements.

Minimap update

The minimap has received some new controls.

While sailing, you can now hold Ctrl and resize the map.

You can also place notifications directly on the map.

By default, clicking on the map will create a “Going there” notification.

If you want to use a different notification:

  1. Hold Ctrl

  2. Right-click on the map

  3. Select the notification you want

This should make it easier to communicate locations and intentions while sailing.

About ramming

I originally wanted to include the new ramming mechanics in this update as well.

However, because several bug fixes were ready, I decided not to delay them and release this version now.

The ramming mechanics will be included in the next update, which I hope to release before the end of the week.

Thank you very much for playing and for all your feedback!

Danilec

A new update for Leonardo's Island is here, and this time I've added something I've wanted to implement for a while — ship ramming! Until now, your cannons were your main weapons in battle. But now you have another option: your ship itself! Full Speed Ahead! You can now ram enemy ships and damage them with the force of the collision. Speed, mass, and the way you hit another ship…Community1 Oct 2026Thank you to our first Early Access players! 🌊⛵Thank you to our first Early Access players! 🌊⛵ A huge thank-you to everyone who has already joined Leonardo’s Island in Early Access! Making a game solo is one challenge. Helping people discover it, gradually building a community, and keeping the game growing is another voyage entirely. So far I’ve only played with bots.” Yes! Battles and Regattas are fully online, and you can play against real players. I can already see in the server statistics that real multiplayer sessions are running every day , especially during the more active hours. If you’re playing the demo…
