Hey all.
This patch introduces a new 'rate up' feature while drafting so you get more skills which synergize with your trinkets. This is also intended to help new players, since it acts as a recommended pick. You only get a small amount of these offered per trinket.
I also wanted to iron out the way the Turning Timepiece duplicate works to be as fun and versatile as possible, because it's a mechanic we will see more of in the future.
One last significant thing was a revision of the Wild Tempest event. This event offers 2 skills, each with a random fusion. The random part made it very unlikely to be useful, so I spent time going through every skill and hand picking a set fusion they appear with in this event. This process also resulted in some bonus skill changes. There is likely some synergies you hadn't considered previously lurking in this event now.
General
All skill drafts now have access to a limited 'rate up' pool of skills which synergize with your trinkets.
Skill drafts are now a selection from 2 skills instead of 3. The skill pools have been thinned to compensate.
You now start with 2 Providence (rerolls), and you gain 2 from Elite and Boss battles. Previously, Providence was only gained from combat challenges.
Providence now appears in the loot window.
The skills at the Wild Tempest event now have pre-set synergistic fusions instead of random ones. These skills can now be fused instead of only added. This event no longer has 2 free skill removals.
The boss exclusive skills are now more rare.
The cost of removing skills at the merchant now scales up slower and starts lower.
There is now an icon for each remaining skill slot when editing skills.
Vernan tribe bonus decreased: 2/4/6 > 1/2/3 Area. The Range bonus is still 2/4/6.
Astarath tribe bonus increased: 4/8/12 > 5/10/15 less damage from each Hit.
Skill Changes
There are some new fusions to help increase Area more easily:
Pepper Shot's secondary effect has been replaced with: Spend 1. Gain 3 Area. (it previously pushed away enemies on each hit)
Hurricane's secondary effect has been replaced with: The Area of this skill increases by 10% of your Mind. (it previously pushed away enemies that weren't your target)
Shadow Claw's secondary effect has been replaced with: This skill gains 1 Range and Area on each use. (it previously had a Spend that healed you)
Celestial Gust's secondary effect has been replaced with: The Area of this skill increases by 10% of your Spirit. (it previously granted Vigor and converted a curse)
Ambush has gained Celestial Gust's old secondary effect. (it previously reduced Max HP equal to the damage dealt)
Slightly increased the damage of the Spend X skills: Wind Weave, Tree Spear, Lava Plume, Bombard, and Sky Cannon.
Slightly increased most forms of shielding.
Reload Station, Rage Totem, Earth Totem, and Zeal Totem now 'affect their area'. This allows fusions like Exhume or Grenade Parade to make use of their high base area.
Trick Shot's secondary damage reduced from 3 per hit to 2. This brings it in line with the new Tree Spear (secondary) for scaling damage based on the number of hits. For those curious on the math, Trick Shot still out performs Tree Spear up until 8 hits, and then overtakes it again at 18 hits. Getting both on the same skill is always an option though!
Trick Shot's primary damage has been slightly increased to compensate. It now also affects the area when ricocheting and always ricochets toward the nearest enemy.
The Fire Claw secondary now triggers after hits are fully resolved, allowing it to detonate wildfire it creates under more circumstances.
The Sacred Flame secondary now heals 15 HP per summon, up from 10.
Nature's Pulse secondary Spend 3>2.
Exhume now has Spread.
Skull Crash now deals more damage.
Void Pact now increases the summoned Voidling's HP by 50 and Mind by 10 for each energy spent, instead of Body, Mind, and Spirit by 10.
Glimmer Glide's secondary now heals at the end of the skill, so any Blessings gained during the skill can be counted.
Mind Drain now deals more damage and reduces more Time if you meet the Mind requirement.
Moon Guard now heals you for 50% of the shield when it expires, instead of only while it is decaying.
The Warrior starting skill Charge now generates 2 energy instead of 1.
Trinket Changes
All stats other than HP have been increased on all trinkets.
Oni's Club now deals 2%/3%/4% damage per fury, up from 2%/2.5%/3%.
Tilted Timekeeper and Turning Timepiece now display an icon when editing skills to show which one they are affecting. This makes it more obvious when their target changes while drafting.
The duplicate from Turning Timepiece now links more effects to its master. In addition to Blessings and Shields being redirected to you, the duplicate now also:
Generates and spends its master's energy instead of its own. Effects which scale on energy are also based on its master's energy.
Redirects heals to its master.
Appears where you were standing when you started the skill you just used, instead of where you are now.
Applies skill buffs like Fire Claw, Crystal Coffin, and Dark Matter to its master. Skill buffs which only apply while the skill is actively being used are not shared; such as Astral Advance, Eruption (secondary), and Bone Shield (secondary).
Talent Changes
Preparation now gives 2 Energy instead of 3.
