Hi, survivors! This update brings a highly requested feature to multiplayer: PVP support (well, friendly fire as we can say)! You can now choose to enable friendly fire and battle it out with your friends. We have also introduced a new loot mechanic for enemies who beg for mercy, smoothed out combat animations, and fixed a critical physics bug causing entities to sink into the ground.
Added a new Player vs. Player damage toggle to the multiplayer manager and room creation screen;
The lobby host has full authority over the PVP Damage Policy, meaning the host decides if friendly fire is enabled for the match;
Fully implemented and synchronized PVP hit detection for all weapon types: melee strikes, bow shots, and thrown spears;
Updated localization and UI positioning to cleanly accommodate the new PVP settings.
Enemies who successfully beg for mercy will now drop a "Mercy Bag." This networked loot drop rewards players who choose to spare their foes and features hidden map icon behavior;
Significantly improved enemy attack animations across the board, specifically for one-handed weapons, shields, knives, and two-handed weapons;
Added a behavior graph safety check before an NPC initiates an attack, and ensured attack animation movement is strictly handled by the host to prevent multiplayer desyncs.
Fixed a major collision and physics issue that was causing players and animals to slowly sink into the ground;
Implemented a background fix to safely recover save data for village buildings that had become stuck in an invalid "repair" state;
Added the Fire Pyre Point of Interest (POI) to the world map.
Added a subtle interactable highlight to quest notes and board notes to make them easier to spot. The overall size of interactable highlights in the world has also been reduced to be less intrusive;
Added a new, distinct Fast Travel icon to the world map.
