This update is a little more disjointed. I have been working on the story, feedback from my last playtest, adding a bit of visual spectacle, and core systems work.
Let's talk about the story for Adrift. Just why are you flying through space budging around ship capsules? The game will begin like this:
You are aboard a colony ship of 10,000 souls traveling from one star system to another. You are about halfway there, truly in the deep dark emptiness of space. Your ship is struck by something going impossibly fast. Your ark is sundered into a debris field miles long. You wake up at the far end of it. Now you must navigate through the wreckage to save yourself, your crew, and your little slice of humanity.
I have been working on a short introduction video for this story. Check it out on the Steam Store page. Hey by the way also follow and wishlist please and thank you.
There is also a new playtest build out on Steam now. It includes changes inspired by playtest feedback as well as several bits of code quality and core systems work.
