Patch #3 - Chat Log & Bug Fixes

Ledgerbound · published 18 Aug 2026, 16:40 UTC · build 24788793

  • Chat log feature added. Scribes must write extremely quickly in order to record all spoken dialogue, and we thank them for their efforts.

  • Disabling time management gameplay now also removes burnout costs associated with equipping swag/liabilities. Because with the proper mindset, equipping swag is a deeply calming experience.

  • Portraits have been added to the credits. You now have a much better idea of what we all look like. Do not abuse this information.

  • Increased visibility of highlights on marked locations/target areas on the battlefield. Unmarked locations and non-target areas have had their visibility decreased out of a sense of fairness.

  • Abilities are now a different color on the battle radial popup. The old color was bad. The new color is purple.

  • Fixed an enemy pathfinding bug that would cause the game to freeze and then crash. Enemies have also been given maps.

  • Applied a potential fix to the soft lock that sometimes occurred during Jazz’s chat in the Collector’s dungeon. Please let us know if this fix does not realize its full potential.

  • Fixed a bug that would occur when enemies in the Elderhold would attempt to mimic the Light element. The Heavy element remains unmimicable.

  • Applied various fixes to help prevent loading into battles you weren’t supposed to be in. Apologies to the player who had to face the final boss before they were emotionally ready.

  • Fixed a bug that caused the Rethink Turn button to not be interactable when it should have been. We are glad we rethought this.

  • Fixed a bug that gave the Collector the last laugh and prevented Celestrine’s Crown from showing up in your inventory.

  • Fixed a bug that caused abilities from the radial popup to also clog up the character info panel in the battle HUD. Now, to fix the remainder of the character info panel problems (see: Known Issues).

  • Fixed more typos. The interns continue to have purpose.

The Shareholders are aware of the following issues with your Software Product (and have instituted an office-wide “reduced fun” policy until such time as issues are resolved):

  • When the swag ticket exchange gives you swag you already own, said swag doesn’t show up in your inventory. We’re not sure where it does end up, but by all rights, it should be yours.

  • Lunar Rifts are not selectable during the battle setup phase. Those sneaks.

  • In the Double Homicide battle, the 3rd star (in which you have to “protect” 4 Onx) is currently bugged. The description is also confusing. On the plus side, engineering and narrative have bonded over their shared blame.

  • No ability to quit to main menu. The original intent was for there to be no ability to quit at all, which would dramatically increase average playtime, but this proved unachievable.

  • Character info panel is a greedy screen hog. This is much worse than a regular hog, which would, at least, be cute.

  • Newspaper font size too small. Newspaper delivery crow still the perfect size.

  • When you beat the game, you currently get a beautiful view of the title screen. With no buttons. Beautiful views should still have buttons.
