August 13 - AcrePilot Regional Market & Building Age Update

Another AcrePilot update is live.

This one changes some of the underlying market supply so the commercial real estate market behaves more like a changing regional market instead of one global pool with different price multipliers.

AcrePilot now varies marketplace depth, property mix, deal-size mix, and building-age mix by region.

That means regions should feel somewhat different from each other. A faster-growth market may generally have deeper deal flow and more recently built inventory, while other regions may have more older stock or a different mix of multifamily, storage, and NNN opportunities.

Market cycles still matter too, so none of those regional characteristics guarantee a certain number or quality of deals.

I also corrected a long-term building-age issue that became pretty obvious in multigenerational saves.

Previously, newly generated properties had a hard-coded maximum construction year of 2020. So if you were playing in 2050, 2080, or later, the commercial real estate market basically acted like nobody had built another building since 2020. 😅

Newly generated AcrePilot listings now use the current simulation year when determining building age while still preserving a mix of recent, modern, mature, older, and legacy properties.

Existing listings and properties you already own are not rerolled or rewritten. The new supply rules apply as new properties enter the market.

The existing competitive listing lifecycle is also unchanged. Properties can still age on the market, reprice, sell to outside buyers, withdraw, and be replaced by new opportunities.

Existing saves are supported. No restart is required.

Thanks again for all of the reports and saves. Some of you are getting far enough into these dynasties that you are finding things I would have had a hell of a time reaching on my own. 😂

This one is a mix of deeper reliability work and some improvements you can actually see immediately in AcrePilot. This was not the same problem as…Game update9 Sep 2026September 9 - AcrePilot Closing Authority FixAnother AcrePilot closing fix is live. A few players were still able to reach the final step of a valid acquisition, choose their closing terms, and then get the generic: “The requested negotiation action could not be completed from the current authoritative state.” This was a different edge case from the ones corrected in the previous updates. I tracked this one down using an affected player’s…Game update8 Sep 2026September 8 - AcrePilot Closing & Financing Follow-UpAnother Family Office Simulator update is live. A few players were still running into two frustrating AcrePilot problems after the last closing update: • a valid property purchase could still fail with the generic “authoritative state” message; and • Preview / Continue to Financing could sometimes appear to do nothing. They turned out to be two separate issues hiding behind similar symptoms. AC…
