A small patch answering the first day of feedback. Thank you to everyone who wrote in, most of this was reported yesterday morning.
• Esc now opens a pause menu with Resume, Settings, and Quit. You should never have needed Task Manager to leave the tower. Sorry about that one.
• Heart-demon rerolls are now visible: the gate panel shows your reroll count against the cap (2, before Sever the Demon), and the tribulation plays each reroll out as it happens instead of resolving silently.
• Added an extra-large text size for anyone whose eyes were straining on the largest setting.
• New option: auto-close finished fights (off by default): when enabled, resolved combat dismisses itself so auto-climbing flows without a click per floor.
• Fixed: pressing Esc in the expanded cast gallery no longer opens the pause menu on top of it.
Your saves are untouched by this update. More to come. The reroll ceremony is getting bigger, a tooltip explaining the strength math is on the way, and the first content update is in the works.
