Future of Cube Kingdoms

Hello everyone,

It’s been a little while since the last status update, and I’d like to give you an overview of how things will continue with Cube Kingdoms.

As announced, I released the first major content update on Monday (12.08.2026). Back then, I mentioned that further updates would depend on how the game develops.

Sales numbers are still small but stable – which shows me that there is interest. At the same time, the refund rate is still fairly high, which makes me believe that more content and more gameplay depth could help. For that reason, I’ve decided to create another major content update and then take another look at how things evolve.

Planned content for the second update

  • Merchant Guild: Unlocks auto‑trading and auto‑collecting; the market can be upgraded into the guild.

  • Adventurer Guild: Allows recruiting hero units.

  • Bandit Camps: Spawn randomly, attack the nearest player, and must be destroyed. Weakly defended but annoying.

  • Reworked Tutorial: I think the current tutorial isn’t interesting enough and may contribute to refunds.

I’m open to additional ideas – feel free to leave your feedback in the comments. Playable factions are also an option, though without completely unique building sets.

The update will take some time, as I’m also working on a small side project. It’s a small F2P learning project with an optional hat‑skin pack.

Thank you all for your support and feedback – it helps me tremendously.

Best regards, Maikel – GamingPugsStudios
