Thank you for all your incredible support and feedback! ❤️ This update introduces a brand-new game mode, exciting new sabotage mechanics, two new store types, an updated demo, and plenty of gameplay improvements.
Get ready for even more chaos!
The new Saboteur game mode introduces a completely new progression system:
The player in last place earns the most Sabotage Points, while the player in first place earns the fewest.
Sabotage Points are used to purchase various sabotage items.
Spent Sabotage Points count toward your victory progress.
To win the match, you must purchase a special Victory Item.
The Victory Item can only be purchased once you have earned enough money and spent the required amount of Sabotage Points.
Simply making money is no longer enough—you'll need to actively sabotage your opponents if you want to win!
We've listened to your feedback and added three brand-new sabotage abilities:
👷 Hire away or fire your opponents' employees.
🪧 Remove your opponents' advertising signs.
🪳 Purchase cockroaches that will infest your opponents' stores and create even more chaos.
As always, every sabotage feature can be individually enabled or disabled before starting a match.
Our Discord community voted on which store should be added next.
🏆 The Hardware Store won the vote...
...but we decided to surprise everyone by adding two new stores!
🔨 Hardware Store
🏕️ Outdoor Store
The demo has received a major refresh!
The previous Endless Mode has been replaced with the new Saboteur game mode.
This allows new players to experience the new sabotage mechanics and enjoy a much more exciting and competitive demo.
The trash system has been rebalanced.
Players can now collect only a limited amount of trash each round.
The trash limit can be customized from 1 to 10 pieces in the Extra Settings.
This makes keeping your store clean much more strategic.
Several brand-new voting events have been added.
The event rotation has been improved, making every match feel more varied instead of repeating the same events over and over.
The Extra Settings menu has been expanded once again.
Nearly every new gameplay feature can now be individually enabled or disabled, giving you full control over how each match is played.
The Info (i) icons have been expanded.
You'll now find additional explanations for:
The Dealer
Game Mode Selection
Various gameplay mechanics
You can now immediately see whether a Front Event in front of your store is positive or negative.
Vending Machines now clearly display:
Which team they belong to.
What type of vending machine they are.
Advertising signs now also display which team owns them, making it much easier to identify your own signs—or your opponents' signs to sabotage.
The new Sabotage Points mechanic has also been added to the Car Buyer game mode.
If you prefer the original gameplay, you can simply enable the option in the Extra Settings to purchase sabotage items with money instead.
❤️ Thank you once again for your amazing support! Your feedback continues to shape Retail Rivals, and we hope you enjoy all the new content. We can't wait to hear what you think!
