Combat Mechanics Overhaul
Fumble System:
Fumbles are now a balanced risk! Previously rare, a Fumble is now as likely as a Critical Hit. If a character (player or enemy) Fumbles, they take damage themselves.
Immunity & Healing:
If a target is immune to an element, attacking them with that element will now heal them instead of damaging them.
Example: Using a Torch skill like "Searing Hit" on a Fire Slime will heal it. Use your elemental knowledge wisely!
Enemy Critical Hits:
Enemy Critical Hits are now fully functional. Be prepared for enemies to deal significantly higher damage than usual.
Controls & Immersion
Gamepad Vibration:
Haptic feedback has been added for damage taken:
- Light vibration for minor damage.
- Strong vibration for heavy damage or Critical Hits.
Torch Quick-Swap:
- Press Q or Left Shoulder Button to equip the Torch if one is in your inventory but not held.
- Press again to unequip it and return it to your inventory.
Note: In battle, this same button combination now forces a 100% successful flee for debugging purposes.
Exploit Fixes & Stability
Pause Exploit Patch:
Fixed an issue where enemies would stop chasing the player when the game was paused. You can no longer freeze enemy pursuit to cheat.
Screen Flicker:
Fixed a bug where the screen would go black briefly after every conversation. Transitions are now smooth.
Visuals & UI
Oldaric Animations:
The Warrior Oldaric now correctly closes his eyes when sleeping or stunned.
Quest Menu:
The Quests menu has been updated for better clarity.
Tower Design:
Several rooms in the Tower have been improved for better flow and atmosphere.
Death Screen:
A "Run Results" screen is now displayed when the Main Character dies, summarizing the session.
