v5.17 Patch Notes

Following recent HUD redesigns, this update begins pushing the UI overhaul directly onto the game map. Some legacy cursors including the construction hat and the towing hook are now retired in favor of a much cleaner, more responsive aesthetic, while adding highly requested precision to your toolset.

Map UI & Visual Polish

  • Road Construction Overhaul: The legacy 3D construction hat cursor has been officially retired. Road building is now driven by a dynamic, glowing vector ring that highlights the active grid cell. As you drag to build, the glow extends and expands the road network, providing a much cleaner, highly responsive feel to map expansion.

Gameplay & Tools

  • Precision Tow Trucks: Addressed player feedback regarding tow truck accuracy. The towing mechanic has been updated so players can now successfully and predictably target specific, individual vehicles on the map.

Bug Fixes & Stability

  • Leaderboard Reliability: Implemented backend fixes to the scoring system. Resolved edge-case game state bugs that could previously prevent the game from successfully writing a player's final score, ensuring all high score achievements are properly recorded.
