A Major New City - San Antonio!

Version 6.10 introduces San Antonio, a sprawling new environment emphasizing fluid, high-scoring road building, alongside a massive wave of UI polish and bug fixes.

☀️ The New City: San Antonio

  • Accessible Waterways: The rivers in San Antonio are narrow enough that line engineers can handle the crossings without requiring a full bridge design. Save the serious civil engineering and bridge inventory for crossing the larger lakes and reservoirs.

  • High-Score Potential: This city leans into the fun of massive road networks. By leveraging the recently overhauled pathfinding system, extremely high scores are highly achievable on this map.

🛠️ Mechanics & Interface Polish

  • Optimal Intersection Indicator: The refund button on an intersection upgrade will now display a pale yellow hue if every connected road is a freeway or one-way. This instantly confirms the intersection is running at its absolute maximum optimal speed.

  • Neighborhood Hover Adjustments: The pin button on neighborhood hover panels has been adjusted to be much less intrusive, preventing the UI from blocking the grid when trying to rapidly build roads through a district.

  • Governance Tooltips: Hover tooltips have been added to the buttons on the neighborhood governance panel to clearly define their functions.

  • Terminology Update: The "Barricade" feature has been renamed to "No Auto-Connect" to more accurately describe its function of preventing the game from automatically linking neighborhoods to nearby roads.

  • Freeway Discovery: Combining two one-way roads on the map to create a freeway will now properly unlock and display freeways as a discovered type in the inventory, even if they had not been officially discovered yet.

  • Cleaner Pathing Visuals: The predicted path visualization for vehicles has been polished, removing the visual gap between the selection circle around the targeted vehicle and the start of the path line.

  • Post-Game Info: The information button can now be toggled on during the Game Over map review to check stats like the total number of currently active vehicles.

🐛 Bug Fixes & Diagnostics

  • Bulk Erasure Restored: Fixed an issue where the bulk erase function would occasionally fail for one-way roads, forcing them to be deleted one at a time.

  • Diagnostic Success: Thanks to players opting to send diagnostic logs when prompted, a stubborn crash bug and several other underlying issues have been completely resolved. The log presentation has also been updated on the backend to help classify and fix future bugs even faster.
