The derelicts are no longer just cold metal and failing circuits. Something organic is spreading. In this update, we’ve introduced the Biomass System and a new crawling threat that will change how you secure the decks.
A new organic hazard has been detected on several ship classes.
Spreading Infestation: Biomass now grows and spreads through rooms, clinging to walls and floors.
Tactical Obstacle: While it might seem harmless at first, it marks the territory of new threats and can obscure loot or critical terminals.
We’ve added a new type of biological threat—fast, erratic, and deadly in numbers.
Insectoid Crawlers: These new enemies move differently than the drones or bipeds you've faced before. They are harder to hit and can quickly overwhelm a lone drone.
Swarm Intelligence: Be careful when entering rooms covered in biomass—you never know how many are hiding in the growth.
The ship's maintenance shafts are now a tactical option.
Vent Navigation: We’ve overhauled the ventilation grates. Smaller drones can now use vents to bypass locked doors or flank enemies.
Monster Flanking: Watch your back! Certain monsters can now use the same vents to surprise you from behind. Nowhere is truly safe anymore.
Tower Targeting Fix: Defense Towers have been re-calibrated. They will now correctly identify and fire upon biological monsters (including the new insects) instead of just mechanical threats.
Stability & Pathfinding: Various bugfixes for drone navigation and interaction logic with the new organic elements.
