Galactiball 0.89.958A — Small Update

Thanks for playing Galactiball! This update focuses on camera feel, power-up
readability, and controller-first presentation across the front end and arena.

What’s new

  • Improved ball camera framing: the player and ball stay together in a
shared framing corridor during high balls, close-range play, lateral separation,
    and wall or corner recovery.
  • Polished power-up feedback: pickup placement, visual scale, sparkle,
player/NPC shimmers, and expired-effect cleanup are more consistent and easier to
    read in motion.
  • Refined controller-first menus: clearer roster focus, seat admission
and reassignment behavior, back/logout handling, and controller presentation
    identity across local multiplayer setup.
  • Improved multiplayer presentation: lobby, roster, team/goal display,
Steam avatar fallback, and special-ruleset setup continue to receive usability
    and reliability passes.
  • Continued localization and diagnostics work: runtime catalog coverage,
language switching, input diagnostics, and deterministic invariant probes have
    been extended for this build.

Notes

  • Rendered camera verification is still important across every zoom preset,
overhead view, high-ball case, and wall/corner compression scenario.
  • Physical controller, Steam Deck, Steam avatar, and paired Steam/Direct-IP
checks remain separate from source and build validation.
  • Some translation catalogs still require native-language, font, shaping, and
    layout review.

Thank you so much for your patience while we work out the bugs. It's to be expected with an alpha-state build but we're almost onto the beta stage soon as we rapidly approach the September 25th launch. I'm pleased to report a playable, but still occasionally buggy multiplayer experience. The current multiplayer modes: Arcade 2 teams of up to 6 players each…
