Hey Runners!
Hope you guys are doing well.
We’re dropping a quick hotfix today to resolve several specific crashes and ensure your match endings are completely safe once you're inside a started van! Maybe a little spoiler as well...
A Quick Development Update: With this hotfix deployed, our team is shifting into full gear to focus on The Great Plains Biome Update! Because we are putting all hands on deck for this massive content drop, smaller patches and hotfixes will be less frequent over the next few weeks. Mark your calendars:
The Great Plains Biome Update is officially landing on October 26th!
Bugs and reports that were addressed in this patch:
Updated Sentry telemetry reporting to capture more detailed session issues and provide deeper context around bugs.
Fixed a crash in the Input Key Rich Text Decorator (which occurred when rebinding/changing inputs in settings).
Fixed a crash related to Voice Chat after a player left an active match.
Fixed a crash that occurred when using a Toolbox under specific conditions.
Fixed a weather component crash that could happen if the GlitchAudioComponent failed to instantiate.
Fixed a crash that could occur while a player was caught orbiting inside a tornado.
Fixed a crash caused by attempting to access a disabled Sentry subsystem reference during server travel.
Fixed a crash during the camera fade transition caused by an invalid Camera Manager.
Updated the game ending sequence: Players already inside the gameplay van will no longer get pulled out by tornadoes once the van has successfully started its escape!
These are some of the main issues that we are aware of and are currently being worked on:
Connection issues to servers or invitation issues.
Performance issues on specific menus, when highlighting items, or when Alt + Tabbed out.
Tornados having unusual colors sometimes.
