This is the first official Steam announcement for MegaDope 2D, and it feels good to finally open the door.
MegaDope 2D is a fast dark-fantasy arena roguelite set in the Eternium universe. Pick a hero, enter a cursed depth, survive escalating enemy pressure, collect Soul Orbs and gold, stack strange relics, and decide whether to bargain with Death when a run starts falling apart.
The Steam page is now live, and MegaDope 2D is planned for Q4 2026. If the game looks like your kind of chaos, wishlisting it helps a lot.
What started as a playable 2D proof for a much bigger MegaDope universe has grown into a real Steam-facing game with a full release path forming around it.
The current build direction already includes:
MegaDope 2D is built around readable chaos: fight the horde, draft power, push deeper, and make risky decisions while the arena keeps getting louder.
Runs are designed to tell stories. Maybe you become a relic-stacked monster. Maybe you spend gold to rewind Death and steal one more boss attempt. Maybe you make a terrible build choice because the icon looked cool and now the whole screen is on fire. That is part of the point.
The world is moving through ten cursed depths, including gothic halls, ancient forests, machine floors, casino rooms, and endgame boss spaces. Each realm is being shaped with its own enemies, visual identity, boss pressure, and reason to come back for another run.
The next stretch is about turning everything that already exists into the strongest Steam release possible:
MegaDope 2D is also the playable foundation for the larger MegaDope dream. The cinematic trailer and wider PlayMegaDope.com universe point toward the long-term vision, but this is the Steam-first step: a real game players can run, break, master, and help shape.

Thank you for being here at the start.
