Devlog #3: Magic Berries, Colorful Platforms, and Untextured Worlds

Hey everyone!

This week, we spent our time repainting all the wooden details in our world into a bunch of different colors. The stairs and platforms are now multi-colored, and they only work if the rabbit eats the matching berry. It sounds a bit crazy, but that's exactly why we love making games!

Also, there is a picture in this update showing our world before it was fully painted. Let’s be honest, any game world without textures is a pretty sad sight.

Here is the full list of our weekly achievements:

  • Created textures for the wooden assets in several different colors.

  • Made a few new color variations for the rabbit.

  • Polished the movement mechanics for the colored platforms. Now you can travel between the islands both vertically and horizontally.

Next week, we are completely out of excuses. We finally have to model the zombie carrot and introduce it to the rabbit in the game. The consequences could be totally unpredictable!

Thanks for reading our blog, and have a great weekend!

— Luke and Robert

Community16 Oct 2026Devlog #8: Breaking Up Vegetable FightsHey everyone! Have you ever tried to break up a crowd of brawling mutant vegetables? Do you know what’s even harder? The hardest part isn't breaking up the fight, it’s explaining the rules to them. Who hits who, from what distance, with what timing... ugh. Each character has a ton of settings and animations. We take turns inviting the fighters to our little training island, set up sparring matc…Community9 Oct 2026Devlog #7: The Vegetable Trio is Complete!Hey everyone! Our trio is finally complete! The eggplant has officially joined the cucumber and the carrot. The carrot is a big, slow, and strong heavyweight; the cucumber is our middleweight fighter; and the eggplant is fast and relies on numbers. For the demo, the only thing left to make is the Spider-Onion boss. Once that’s done, we can debug all the core combat mechanics and balance how the…Community2 Oct 2026Devlog #6: Zero Polygons, Toxic Swamps, and a Spider-OnionHey everyone! To be honest, our schedules completely blocked us from working on the game this week. As you know, we are making this story about rabbits trapped in a world of crazy vegetables in our free time, running purely on passion and zero funding. We strongly believe in our project, but juggling it with the daily grind can be really tough sometimes. It’s a bummer because working on this ga…
