Day 7 Patch

Fortress siege

  • Coastal Siege Cannon: manually aimed volleys can now target the enemy fortress. Bloodwater Bay's Fire Everything! salvo already reached the walls — now your own aim does too, and volleys still stack, so a full turn of gold can go straight into them.
  • Coastal Clipper: Bow Cannon can now hit the enemy fortress.
  • Merchant Coast starter: City Barricades steps out, Coastal Siege Canon steps in — a gold sink that actually ends sieges.

Bards: the song rotation, on demand

  • The Now Playing pill expands into a full song-rotation panel: every unit's instrument, ring-ordered from the current song, with Ready / Used / Revealed status per row.
  • Opponent rows sit above yours, and each side shows whether it can still cycle its song this turn.
  • Press N to open it. Arrow keys and D-pad navigate; every row shows its full card on hover or focus. Collapsed, the current song stays as chips on the phase bar.

Operate, explained

  • The Operate keyword explained nothing ("contributes to vessel Operate scaling" — thanks, codex). It now says what it does: Operate units crew La Gloria de Oro — she gets +1 ATK for each one, and her cannons cost 1 less Gold to fire for each one. Behavior unchanged, words fixed.

Tooltips where you needed them

  • Secret badges show real tooltips — the full card for your own and revealed secrets, and a sigil-backed mystery card for enemy face-downs.
  • Scry, discard, and library-search sort tiles show the full card on hover.

Fixes

  • Songspire Keep now deploys its Songspire Tower free at the start of every gauntlet fight, as the card promises. It was only firing in regular matches — run players have been drawing the Tower as a normal card since it joined the Bards starter on Day 5. That is now fixed.
  • Winning with Technotic Flare's lethal hit no longer strands you behind an unanswerable choice popup after the game ends. (This one earned an Alt+F4 in the wild. Sorry.)
  • Right-clicking during a card drag cancels it cleanly instead of freezing a ghost card over a dead board.

F12 Steam screenshots (desktop)

  • F12 now takes a real Steam screenshot from the desktop build — it lands in your Steam screenshot library like any other game.
  • A camera flash confirms the capture.
  • The plumbing behind this (and the Steam overlay) is our own Tauri plugin, published open source under MIT: tauri-plugin-steam-overlay-surface on crates.io. If you are shipping a Tauri game on Steam, it is yours to use.

Seven days, five patches, still building from your reports. If a card, a
keyword, or a tooltip confuses you, that is a bug — tell us and it gets the
Operate treatment. Back to the Tavern!

Major update14 Sep 2026September Major Update - New Region!Three weeks since the Kraken. This one is bigger. The Journey Map has been promising a second tavern since Day 9. It's open. Take the Antiok node and you go down a stair, not into a taproom: the Undercroft is the stone cellar under the Grand Cathedral where the Church drinks after vespers, and the Church does not think you should be there. The Undercroft · Beat Tully's Ale Haus Tavern Keeper on…Community24 Aug 2026Spirefall on Steam Deck - Native, Full Controller SupportSpirefall runs natively on Steam Deck The Spirefall demo ships a native Linux/SteamOS build — no Proton, no compatibility layer. Steam picks it automatically on Deck and on desktop Linux, and it runs in the Steam Linux Runtime, so there is nothing to configure: install and play. Here's exactly what that means, and what we tested. Full controller support Every screen in the game — menus, the tav…Major update24 Aug 2026August 2026 Major UpdateNine days since the last patch, and the tavern got rowdier. The Tavern Keeper stopped hiding her difficulty inside the AI and put it on the table where you can fight it. The Bards hired thieves. A merchant lord bought a blimp. And the whole game now runs natively on Steam Deck (and Linux, for that matter), full controller support, top to bottom. Fair warning about the headliner: there is a krak…
