Explore Black Meadow Farms, a secluded farmhouse that has remained in the same family since its earliest days. Something has changed within its walls, and the property is now plagued by an increasingly aggressive presence.
Black Meadow Farms features:
New ghost models
New Death Rooms
New Artifacts
New interactions
New throwable objects
Step inside The McGavin House, a historically preserved estate dating back to the 1800s.
Much of the home has been carefully maintained to reflect the lives of those who once occupied it, but not everything left behind is part of the exhibit.
McGavin House features:
New ghost models
New Death Rooms
New Artifacts
New interactions
New throwable objects
Ghosts now have even more ways to interact with the environment.
We've added new throwable objects across every location, giving ghosts a wider variety of objects to disturb, move, and throw during investigations.
Additional throwable objects have been added to:
Ravenwood
Summerhill Psychiatric
Stone Manor
Cedar
Aspen
Abaddon East
Abaddon West
Throwables have also received new sound effects, making environmental disturbances feel more distinct and helping players recognize activity happening elsewhere in the location.
We've added a variety of new environmental interactions across our locations while also revisiting many of the interactions already in the game.
Several existing interactions have been updated to provide clearer visual feedback when a ghost interacts with them.
For example, objects such as radios now provide a visible light indication when they have been activated rather than relying solely on sound.
These changes are intended to make ghost activity easier to recognize for Deaf and hard-of-hearing players, while also making environmental interactions clearer for everyone.
We've expanded graphics scalability options to give players greater control over how The Other Side looks and performs across a wider range of hardware.
Several visual features can now scale more effectively based on your graphics settings, allowing lower-end systems to reduce demanding visual effects while higher-end systems can retain the full visual experience.
This is part of our continued work toward improving performance, accessibility, and hardware compatibility without compromising the atmosphere that makes The Other Side what it is.
Alongside the larger additions in this update, we've continued polishing environmental interactions, sounds, performance, and location details throughout The Other Side.
With Blackmeadow and The McGavin House now open for investigation, there are more places to explore, more objects for ghosts to interact with, and more ways for the environment itself to give you clues that something is nearby.
Following this update, we're moving full speed ahead on a complete overhaul of The Other Side's tutorial.
The current tutorial will be replaced with a new Killhouse-style training experience designed to provide much clearer, hands-on guidance through the game's mechanics, equipment, and investigation process, including proper use of the cellphone and its features.
Rather than simply introducing the basics, the new tutorial is being designed as a place where players can learn, practice, and hone specific investigation skills before putting them to use in the field.
You'll be able to enter the training environment with friends, allowing experienced Investigators to help newer players learn the game or giving groups a place to practice specific mechanics together.
The Other Side Halloween Event "Thinning of the veil" will run from October 22nd through November 3rd.
This event is largely based around the belief that during Halloween/Samhain, the veil between the living and the dead becomes thinner, and pulls inspiration from The Dumb Supper, Samhain bonfires, and more.
Of course, we will be brining back the classic lobby-to-lobby trick or treating, as well as a new Headquarters, cosmetics, furniture items, and more for players to unlock during the event!
We'll have more to share about what awaits you as we get closer.
