Salve, centurion!

We are continuing our work on the next Summa Expeditionis update and its new campaign set in Greece.

In this third development diary, we are introducing several new tools for managing your camp. Our goal is to make it easier to organise work, locate resources and understand what is happening at any given moment. We are also adding the ability to relocate your entire camp.

Task Management

The new task menu provides a complete overview of the work being carried out in your camp.

From this screen, you will be able to check which tasks are in progress, which ones are waiting in the queue and which problems are slowing down production. It will also tell you when a task cannot be completed because a required tool or resource is missing.

This will make it easier to identify bottlenecks, adjust priorities and distribute work more efficiently among your men.

Quartermaster

The new Quartermaster screen brings together every item, resource and piece of equipment that belongs to your camp.

You will be able to see what you have, where each item is located and whether it has been placed in storage. The menu will also display the condition of your storage buildings and their remaining capacity.

You will no longer need to inspect each building separately to find a tool or check how much storage space is available. All the information will be accessible from a single screen.

Commentarii

Commentarii is the new camp event log.

This journal records the important events of your expedition, including the death of a character and its cause, the crafting of an item, a storage building reaching full capacity or the completion of a mission.

It will also record other relevant events involving your men, your resources and the general operation of the camp.

This history will allow you to review what happened, identify problems and better understand how the expedition has developed over time.

Relocating the Camp

The update will allow you to move your entire camp to a new location.

The relocation command will be available from the orders menu, accessed by pressing Q. Once you have selected a destination, three in-game days will pass. During this time, your men will dismantle and transport every building, item and stored resource.

Relocating the camp will cause a small morale penalty among the troops. Distance will also affect the risks involved. The farther away the new location is, the greater the chance of losing resources or men along the way.

Moving the camp will allow you to adapt your expedition to new circumstances, but you will need to consider the destination and the dangers of the journey carefully.

Coming Soon

These features are part of the improvements arriving alongside the Greece campaign.

We will share more of the update in future development diaries.

Thank you for your support!
