Ave, Legates!
Welcome to the second Dev Diary for the upcoming Greek campaign, coming to Summa Expeditionis at the end of summer.
Last time, we gave you a first look at the new campaign. Today, we want to introduce some of the factions you will encounter as the conflict unfolds.
Set during the Mithridatic Wars, the campaign will bring Rome into contact with several Greek powers, each with their own role to play.
Macedonia will be one of Rome's main enemies in the campaign.
As you advance through Greece, Macedonian forces will stand against you and play a major role in the conflict.
They will also come with their own unique equipment, as well as missions involving the faction throughout the campaign.
Athens will be hostile to Rome.
The Athenians will be another enemy you will have to face during the campaign, with their own equipment and missions tied to their role in the conflict.
The Aetolians will be allies of Rome, fighting on the same side during the campaign.
They will also feature in their own missions and bring unique equipment to the game.
These four factions are only part of what we are working on for the new campaign. We will have more to show as we get closer to its release at the end of summer.
Sparta will remain neutral, at least as far as Rome is concerned. How you interact with the Spartans will form part of the new missions introduced with the campaign.
Like the other new factions, Sparta will have its own unique equipment.
See you in the next Dev Diary.
Roma Victrix.
