Hey Everyone!
We’re right back from Gamescom & getting ready to open the doors for ORMOD: Directive Playtest #5, and this one brings a pretty substantial batch of new systems, content, and improvements to the game.
Here’s some of what you’ll be able to check out:
New Structure Fortification - More work is going into making structures in the world much more meaningful places to discover, use, and potentially even call home
More Automation - More crafting, more expansion
New Mechanoids - New mechanoid threats are entering the world, including some that can drop Amber Fuel Cells when destroyed
Buildable ATV - Build your own ATV and use recovered Amber Fuel Cells to keep it running as you travel further across the map
Player Built Vehicle Workshop - Players can now construct a vehicle workshop as part of their base and use it to support the new vehicle gameplay loop
POI Improvements & Design - New signage for stores, better layouts & new POIs
New Tutorial - A new onboarding experience has been added to get players into the world and familiar with ORMOD’s core systems faster
Punching, Blindness & Rubber Rounds - Better ways to disrupt a fight
New Chainable Explosives - Boom.
New Lore - (No Spoilers)
Tech + Performance Improvements - A large amount of work has also gone into improving performance, stability, and the underlying tech powering the game
