Hello everyone, Noxen here!

First of all, thank you so much for the incredible support and for all the feedback you've shared since our Early Access launch over the past few days. Thanks to your detailed bug reports, I’ve been tracking down and working on fixes for the most critical issues affecting multiplayer, progression, and saves.

Here are the patch notes for today's update:

Loot & Dungeon Mechanics

  • Loot Distribution: Addressed the issue where loot from enemies, bosses, mining, and woodcutting was only going to the Host. Items should now properly distribute directly to the player who dealt the damage or gathered the resource.

  • Dungeon Wave Triggers: Dungeon waves should no longer require the Host to step inside first. Any player entering the room should now be able to trigger and start the dungeon encounter.

  • Floor Portal Visual Sync: Looked into the visual bug where the portal to the next floor stayed red (locked) for client players after clearing the room. It should now sync properly and turn green for everyone at the same time.

  • Dungeon Door Physics & Desync: Worked on the physical desync issues with dungeon doors. Client-side doors shouldn't slide out of place, fling away upon collision, or leave behind invisible walls anymore.

Save & Inventory System

  • Guild Storage Overhaul: Rewrote the Guild Storage (shared chest) save system. Items placed in storage should no longer disappear upon exiting. To prevent item duplication, shared storage data is now directly tied to the Host’s world save.

  • Personal Inventory & Equipment: Addressed the bug where inventory items, equipped armor, weapons, and potions would vanish after rejoining the game. They should now persist properly.

  • Stat Reset Issue: Worked on a fix for character stat points resetting or getting overridden when connecting to a server.

UI & Networking

  • Steam Invites & Class Selection: Accepting a Steam invite should no longer skip the character selection screen or force you into the "Tank / Bear" class. You should now be able to choose your own character save when accepting an invite.

  • Negative HP on Respawn: Addressed the bug where respawning players stayed at negative health values and broke potion healing calculations.

  • Menu Overlap & Dark Screen: Cleaned up UI conflicts where pressing ESC in the Credits or Settings menus resulted in a blank/dark screen.

  • Save List Visibility: Addressed an issue where saved characters would disappear from the main menu list after returning from a game session.

  • Startup Menu Stacking: Handled the glitch where multiple menus would stack on top of each other on game startup, causing soft-locks.

Please let me know if any of these issues persist on your end. Thank you again for your patience and for helping make Dungeons & Animals better! Keep the feedback coming on our Discord community:

Happy adventuring,

Noxen
