Hello, Tamers! Friday, I'm in love! We’re back with another update, this time on Pedigree, the nifty new system that will improve Temtem species just by interacting with them in many ways!
Pedigree is a new feature that we’ll be introducing in Temtem: Pioneers, and it will work towards the improvement of entire species of Temtem.
Pedigree is measured in levels, and each species has its own level, independent from all the others. This level is tied to the Tamer, so other Tamers joining your server will start with Pedigree at 0 for all species, the same way it would happen to us if we joined a friend’s server.
Each Pedigree level adds positive bonuses to the entire species! These bonuses can range from passive buffs and stat increases, to unlocking new Techniques, improvements for Techs, extra Dashes, the ability to apply status conditions, and more!

Raising the Pedigree levels of a species is really simple, actually! You just have to use or engage with that Temtem: Taming, breeding, defeating enemies and having them harvest resources with you will earn Pedigree experience, which in turn will level up their Pedigree.

Pedigree benefits apply to all the Tems of that species. This means new Tems you capture will have the current Pedigree bonuses, and you won't pay a price for swapping your fully-trained Tems for new ones; Pedigree also applies retroactively, so all Tems you already have will also benefit from it, and you don’t have to worry about swapping your long-time partners in favor of new ones just because you’ve upgraded their Pedigree. We leave the choice to you!
The more Tems you interact with during your adventure, the better the Pedigree for the species will be, and that means improvements all-around! Make sure to give fair attention to all species, and build the perfect squad!
