The Living World Update

LIVORA has just taken another major step forward.

This update is about making your Life feel less like a collection of individual events and more like one continuous world that grows, changes and remembers alongside you.

The people around you now have more independence. Families develop over decades. Neighbourhoods change. Careers move on. Legal and civic problems can become genuine processes. And the decisions you make today can continue to matter many years later.

Shared Life

Living with someone now means much more than simply having a partner.

Your household can be shaped by both of your careers, income, working patterns, childcare, responsibilities, financial pressures and future plans.

A promotion might bring more money but make school pickups harder. Redundancy can suddenly place more pressure on one person. Moving house, reducing hours or taking a major opportunity may become something you genuinely need to work through together.

Your partner has their own circumstances and priorities too. You can influence important decisions, but you don't control them.

Children Grow Into People

Children now develop into individuals rather than simply moving between age brackets.

Their interests, independence, friendships, education, experiences and relationship with you can develop over many years.

As they become teenagers, they gain more say over their own lives. Eventually they become adults with careers, relationships, homes and decisions of their own.

Two children raised in the same household can grow into very different people.

And when they leave home, their story doesn't end.

Legal & Civic Life

Some problems in life cannot be solved with a single choice.

Legal and civic matters can now develop through proper processes where the facts, evidence, deadlines and decisions you make influence what happens.

You may need to review a case, decide how to respond, provide supporting evidence, challenge a decision, negotiate, accept an outcome or allow the matter to escalate.

This includes areas such as housing disputes, employment problems, debt, consumer issues and civic matters.

There isn't always a perfect answer.

Your Neighbourhood Changes Too

The place around you no longer has to remain frozen while decades pass.

Transport can improve. Local businesses can open or close. Housing pressure can change. Nurseries and community facilities can appear or disappear. Regeneration can transform an area over several years.

These aren't just background stories.

A station redevelopment might eventually improve your commute while also pushing up local housing demand. A nursery closure could affect childcare and work. A favourite venue disappearing may mean something very different if you've been going there for 15 years.

Your neighbourhood now has a history — just like you do.

Legacy & Estate

LIVORA now looks further ahead at what your Life may eventually leave behind.

The new Legacy & Estate system lets you think about your will, beneficiaries, meaningful possessions, wishes and the estate you've built.

But legacy in LIVORA isn't simply money.

Over time, What You Leave Behind can reflect the people who mattered, the home you created, the support you gave, the traditions that lasted, the places that shaped you and the moments that changed everything.

There is no score for this.

A bigger bank balance does not mean a better Life.

The People Around You Keep Moving

Important people no longer need to wait for your story before their careers change.

Partners, adult children, friends, siblings, colleagues and managers can experience their own promotions, job changes, redundancy, retraining, career breaks, relocation and retirement.

A friend you met in your twenties may have a completely different life by their fifties.

Your child may eventually earn more than you.

Your partner might become the household's main earner.

A colleague can leave your workplace and still remain part of your life.

The world doesn't stand still just because you're looking somewhere else.

Everything Connects

The real focus of this update is not any one feature.

It's how they interact.

A partner's promotion can affect household income, childcare and your relationship.

An adult child's career may take them to another city.

Neighbourhood changes can influence where your family chooses to live.

A divorce can affect housing, children, finances, legal matters and your estate plans.

Something that happens today may return years later as a memory, consequence, regret, opportunity or part of your final Life story.

That's the direction LIVORA continues to move towards:

a life where things don't simply happen — they become part of what comes next.

Performance, Stability & UI

We've also continued our work on the foundations behind LIVORA.

This update includes further optimisation and hardening across long-running Lives, save data, rendering, assets, UI scaling and the increasingly connected simulation systems behind the game.

The new interfaces have also been designed to work across LIVORA's supported display sizes while maintaining the premium presentation of the game.

As always, this work will continue as LIVORA grows.

Thank you for playing, supporting the game and helping us build a deeper life simulation.

Build a life. Survive the cost.
