Digital Life & Growing Up Are Here

Two major new systems have arrived in LIVORA, adding much more depth to both your online Life and the way children grow from their earliest years into adulthood.

These are not separate mini-games. Both systems are connected to the Life you are already living, the people around you and the decisions you have made along the way.

Digital Life & Online Presence

Your Life now has an online side.

Digital Life lives inside Command and gives you a view of the online world surrounding your character. What appears there depends on the people you know, your Career, interests, Community, relationships, Business activity and how public your Life has become.

Friends and family can share meaningful updates, you can join online Groups linked to genuine interests and local communities, reconnect with people from your past and build a professional network that can lead to real Career opportunities.

Online dating is also part of Digital Life. Rather than endlessly swiping through disposable profiles, LIVORA presents a small number of plausible people. If a connection develops, that person becomes part of your real Life and continues through the existing Relationships system.

Business owners now have an online presence too. Customers can leave reviews, make enquiries, recommend your Business or raise complaints. How you respond can affect the real Business you run, while successful relationships with customers can lead to further opportunities.

If your Life becomes more public, Digital Life changes with it. Entering Politics or becoming better known can bring public reaction, scrutiny and discussion around the things you do. Something you genuinely shared years earlier may even resurface much later when your public profile has grown.

Your Digital Footprint remembers the important parts of this history. It does not invent a past for older saves — only things that genuinely happen from this point forward can return later.

Privacy, account security, scams and online wellbeing also matter, but Digital Life is deliberately designed not to bombard you with constant problems or repetitive posts. Quiet periods are normal, and the system focuses on things that are actually worth your attention.

Childcare, School & Growing Up

Children now have a much deeper Life of their own.

Their journey begins with childcare and early years, where families can establish arrangements that fit their work, finances and household circumstances. Nursery, family help, childminders and other arrangements become part of the child's genuine history rather than something that resets as they grow.

As children reach school age, education becomes a much more persistent part of their Life. School placements, transitions, friendships, interests, activities, reports and important school moments can now develop over time.

Children are not simply copies of one another. Their temperament, interests, friendships and experiences help shape how they grow, meaning siblings can develop in very different directions even within the same household.

Parenting matters as well.

Showing up for important moments, listening, keeping promises, encouraging independence, handling conflict and supporting a child through setbacks can influence how that relationship develops over many years. Equally, repeated absence, pressure or broken promises can have consequences later.

One decision will not define an entire childhood, though. Relationships can strengthen, drift and recover naturally over time.

Teenage years and independence

Teenagers now gain much more independence.

They develop stronger opinions about friendships, privacy, interests, school, future plans and how much freedom they want. Parents can guide and set boundaries, but teenagers increasingly make their own decisions.

That includes choices around GCSEs, post-16 education, apprenticeships, work and other routes into adult Life.

Their online world also becomes part of this. Teenagers have their own Digital Life rather than simply sharing the player's profile, and how much they tell their parent can depend on the relationship and trust built while they were growing up.

From child to adult

Growing Up does not stop at 18.

Children can move into further education, apprenticeships or work, leave home, return home, develop adult relationships and eventually build Lives of their own.

They remain the same person throughout that entire journey, with the same identity, portrait, relationships, interests, memories and history.

That becomes particularly important when your own Life eventually ends.

If you choose to continue as one of your children, you are continuing as the person who actually grew up throughout your save — not a freshly generated replacement. Their education, relationships, Digital Life and experiences carry forward into the next generation.

Less repetition, more meaningful moments

A lot of work has also gone into making both systems feel natural over long Lives.

Routine childcare, ordinary school days and everyday online activity generally stay in the background. LIVORA instead focuses on meaningful changes, decisions, opportunities and follow-ups.

Digital Life remembers what you have already seen and uses ongoing stories rather than constantly replacing them with another version of the same event.

The aim is simple: more Life, without more busywork.

More improvements across LIVORA

Alongside these two major systems, this update includes further fixes, UI polish and performance work across LIVORA.

Both features have been built with long-running Lives in mind, including improvements around responsiveness, save size, loading, local-first behaviour and the way large amounts of Life history are handled.

There are also further consistency improvements across the UI so the new areas feel like part of the same LIVORA experience.

Your family Life now grows further. Your online Life now follows you. And both can shape where your Life goes next.
