LIVORA 4.3 is focused on making a Life feel more personal over the years — what you want from your future, what matters outside work, the things your family comes back to year after year, and how some of LIVORA's biggest existing systems fit into the wider Life.
This update introduces Routes to Parenthood, Passions, Personal Projects & Pursuits, and Traditions, Birthdays & Annual Life Moments, alongside substantial improvements to Politics, Business & Self-employment, and Life Pace.
Having a child is no longer simply something that happens at the end of a relationship decision.
Family Plans now follows what is genuinely happening in your Life. You and your partner can have different views about children, disagree about timing, ask for more time or decide that a child-free Life is right for you. A shared idea of having children someday is also different from actually deciding to start trying.
When you do start trying, it becomes an ongoing part of the Life rather than something you repeatedly click. Work, relationships, Health, money and everything else continue while time passes, and plans can be paused or changed.
Fertility support is part of that same journey through meaningful consultations, assessment and support decisions without turning LIVORA into a medical-management game. Pregnancy isn't guaranteed, and the journey can change direction over time.
Adoption has also been expanded into a proper staged journey through enquiry, application, assessment, waiting, a specific match and placement. You don't design a child or browse through a catalogue. A match is a specific child with their own identity, and if placement goes ahead, that same child becomes part of the family and continues through education and Growing Up.
And Life doesn't always follow the plan you started with. Routes can pause, relationships can change, and pregnancy can happen outside an active trying journey without LIVORA pretending there was a history that never happened.
There is now more to who your character is than their career, money and relationships.
Passions can grow naturally from the way you actually live rather than being selected from a setup screen. Personal Projects can become long-term parts of a Life, taking years to finish, slowing down when circumstances change, being put aside or even being returned to much later. An unfinished project isn't automatically treated as failure.
Pursuits also connect back into existing parts of LIVORA such as Sport, Community, Travel and recurring routines rather than creating another isolated activity system.
The aim is for the things your character enjoys and cares about to become part of who they are, even when they never become a career or make any money.
Years now have more opportunities to feel like years rather than simply watching an age increase.
Birthdays and anniversaries use dates the Life genuinely knows, while ordinary years can remain quiet instead of interrupting you every time somebody has a birthday. More significant annual moments can receive their own visual Life moment and meaningful choice.
Repeated experiences can also grow into traditions.
Something your family or friends keep returning to can acquire its own history, then evolve as relationships change, children grow up and one generation gives way to another. Older saves aren't given an invented past — that history develops from what LIVORA actually knows.
Politics has received a much broader expansion than a simple UI pass.
Political involvement can now begin from age 16 through youth-wing activity, creating political history that can carry into Adult Life. Activism is also available without having to join a political party and connects to the National Issues your character genuinely supports.
As an MP, you can get more involved with live legislation by proposing bounded amendments, building support, compromising, following the party whip or choosing to rebel.
Party leadership now has more influence over manifesto priorities, while a Prime Minister can establish a limited Government Programme and deliver occasional fiscal statements through LIVORA's existing policy system. Those decisions feed back into areas such as the Economy, Housing, Career, Health, Education, Welfare and Business — and holding political office doesn't make your own household immune from the consequences.
Businesses now behave more like something that can exist throughout a person's Life.
Stock is used only by businesses that genuinely need it, while important clients and employees can develop lasting histories rather than existing as disposable business data. Reputation continues to come from genuine customer outcomes rather than simply buying your way to success.
Businesses can also have real co-owners drawn from people already connected to your Life, with ownership changes handled explicitly.
And later in Life, an established owner can prepare a genuine adult child, co-owner or trusted employee to succeed them. When a valid succession takes place, the business can retain its identity rather than disappearing when the founder's Life ends. If there isn't a suitable succession plan, selling or closing the business remains available instead.
Business money also remains properly separate from personal money, with owner withdrawals and contributions recorded as linked transfers rather than quietly mixing the two.
Week Pace and Month Pace have also been improved.
Week Pace can now carry ordinary Life naturally across several days, while Month Pace is more autonomous with routine work, money, family and Health moments. Both are designed to return control at the exact point where a decision genuinely needs you.
That means less unnecessary stopping during ordinary stretches of Life without letting the game quietly make important choices on your behalf.
Smart Time Advance still won't choose replies, RSVPs, political votes, scenario choices or planner decisions for you.
What ties this update together is continuity.
A conversation about children can become a journey that lasts years. A hobby can grow into something that becomes part of your identity. A project can survive major changes in your Life. Something your family does each year can eventually become a tradition. A business can outlive its founder. Political beliefs can begin forming before adulthood and follow the same person into their later career.
