Thank you for all your feedback and bug reports, we really appreciate how quickly so many of you became passionate about Star Trek: Outposts Unknown.

We’ve updated the demo experience with the following changes:

Bug Fixes -

  • Resource Crates won't be placed in unreachable spots anymore

  • Added a missing resource icon when clicking on the anomaly

  • Fixed an issue where notifications could sometimes appear broken or not bring the camera to the event

Improvements -

  • Resupplies now happen at a faster pace but with less resources. This will let you add new crew faster

  • Early buildings are now cheaper, faster to build

  • Rocks are now easier to investigate, and even faster for Science officers

  • Metal is now collected even faster by crew members assigned to the Metal Collector

  • Reduced the sound level of tricorders during investigation, sorry about your ears!

  • Reordered the buttons at the bottom left of the screen so the Crew Overview is closest to the main view

  • The Shifts game guide does a better job at explaining why your crew must use shuttles to travel between the ship and the planet

  • The camera at the start of the game will now be pointing towards a metal-rich area to make it easier to find

  • You only need to find one of the three beacons at the start of the game to complete the explore objective

In addition we’ve added some under-the-hood gadgetry that will greatly improve how we diagnose future bugs!

Please let us know if you encounter other issues, or if you have more ideas to improve the game -- we love what we’ve heard so far, and feel lucky that so many players have decided to not only play our game, but to take the time to help us improve it.
