Cart Legends v0.0.8 — Ten New Circuits, More Ways to Build

The old test circuit was getting a little too familiar. Cart Legends Playtest v0.0.8 brings ten new tracks and more parts for your next build.

Ten new circuits

There are banked turns, spirals, hairpins, and tracks with plenty of climbing and descending. The new circuit selection screen shows each layout and its length before you start.

Each circuit has world rankings and personal best times. Checkpoints let you recover after a fall without going all the way back to the start. There are moving clouds along the tracks, too.

More parts to build with

The builder has new ramps, triangular pieces, diagonal mounting faces, and more beam and plate sizes. Compact thrusters and pistons give you smaller options, new suspensions cater to lighter and heavier carts, and both hammers now reach further.

We’ve also worked on snapping, rotation controls, and placement messages to make it clearer what connects and what doesn’t.

Driving and race starts

Steering, tyre grip, and the handbrake have been reworked. Weight distribution and suspension choice still matter: a tall, top-heavy cart can still tip over if you push it too hard.

There are now loading screens, clearer warnings when your cart isn’t ready to race, and a multiplayer ready check. The host can only start once everyone is ready.

This is still an early Playtest. Try a few laps, show us what you build, and let us know how it drives or where you run into trouble.
