This update includes a dynamic vfx system for collisions. When objects impact each other or slide across the ground, these collisions are accompanied by dust effects. This feature has been in the works for some time and they add a lot to the physicality, so we're very happy to have this in the game! This VFX system will be expanded to include blood effects in a future update.
Try using World Interaction Mode [L Alt] to throw around and drag some objects, and see how they react to the environment.
We improved the system that generates dynamic conflicts between parties in the world. Every entity in the world belongs to a party, and whenever some hostile world action occurs between party members, these parties will enter into conflict with each other, creating possibility for emergent campaign gameplay. If a party is already in conflict, they will join the opposing side.
You can try this out in the demo by spawning a new party [End] (they will be neutral by default). If you then lure an enemy into attacking them (by positioning yourself such that a neutral party member is between you and the enemy), the neutral party will be drawn into this conflict on your side! For now, they will permanently remain friendly.
The AI has been improved to work with the increased range of possibilities of conflicts. They will now seek new targets if an opponent is far, dead or unconscious, and have snappier movement when in combat.
