GodWright v1.0.1 is now live!

This update expands Steam Workshop support, improves mod management, refreshes the main menu, and fixes several simulation and interface issues.

Steam Workshop and Mods

  • More reliable downloads: Steam Workshop subscriptions now install and update more reliably.

  • Persistent mod controls: Local and Workshop mods can be enabled or disabled with checkboxes in the Mods screen.

  • Clear status reporting: See whether a mod is active, disabled, downloading, or waiting for a restart.

  • Easy recovery: Disabled mods remain visible so they can be re-enabled without editing files.

  • Keyboard support: Navigate with the arrow keys or W/S, then press Enter or Space to toggle a selected mod.

Mod activation changes take effect after restarting the game.

Astral Covenant

Astral Covenant is now available as a free optional Steam Workshop mod.

  • Celestial Bloom, a restorative miracle that heals creatures and encourages regrowth.

  • Starfall, a destructive celestial strike that ignites fires and scars the terrain.

  • Astral Sanctums, violet shrines constructed by faithful villages.

  • Empowered violet dragons with increased health and attack damage.

  • Longer days, faster vegetation growth, increased tree spread, and stronger disasters.

View Astral Covenant in the Steam WorkshopAstral Covenant is distributed separately through Steam Workshop and is not bundled with the base game.

Simulation Improvements

  • Removed unintended population ceilings for humans, elves, orcs, and dwarves.

  • Well-supported civilizations can now continue growing based on housing, food, mortality, and the global simulation limit.

  • Redesigned the main menu with clearer primary actions and improved keyboard navigation.

  • Improved Powers toolbar layout and input behavior.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed village-founding achievements so every new settlement, daughter village, and colony counts toward progression.

  • Existing saves now reconcile village-founding achievement progress when loaded.

  • Fixed Favourite and Possess actions responding to clicks outside their buttons.

  • Fixed the Traits Edit button being blocked by the inspect panel.

  • Fixed overlapping toolbar and tab hitboxes activating the wrong control at their edges.

Thank you for playing GodWright and helping shape its future.
