The demo is out, and it is the real thing. Three acts, all free:
Play immediately — The Ember Road.
A small hand-crafted opening chapter, playable
the moment the demo loads. Pick your class, land at Brackwater with wet boots
and no plans, and find out why the beacon went dark. No setup, no waiting.
Forge your own world.
The generator itself, running entirely on your PC
with the bundled local AI. No account, no API key, no cloud. Answer a few
questions — or type a single lazy idea and let the forge expand it — and watch
a world with your own party woven into it take shape. Then play its first two
chapters: exploration, tactical grid combat, visual-novel and directed scenes,
all written for the choices you make.
Forge a boss.
Open The Adversary, the same boss designer we build the game
with, design an encounter, and fight it in the Boss Arena on our time-telegraph
combat system.
Everything you forge carries over.
The demo and the full game share their
save data: your world, your saves and your bosses continue seamlessly when
Campaign Forge enters Early Access on November 27.
Two notes before you download:
- The demo installs the bundled language model (about 3.4 GB). World and
chapter generation happen on your own machine, so generation time depends
on your hardware — a modern graphics card makes it quick, an older CPU-only
PC makes it a coffee break. The Ember Road needs none of it.
- Some gameplay content is generated at runtime by the bundled model. It is
curated by the game's own validation passes, but it is still a small model
writing on your PC — if a name or a line comes out strange, Trouble Report
(Settings → About) lets you send us exactly what happened.
Campaign Forge will be part of Steam Next Fest (October 19–26) — the demo
is out ahead of it, so there is time to forge a world or two before the crowd
arrives. Wishlist the full game to hear when Early Access opens, and tell us
what your first world was called. Ours keeps trying to call itself Veridia.
