Stick Wars: The Laneborn · published

The battlefield feels more alive than ever. This update brings a major visual pass to the map new hand-crafted decoration art, ambient wildlife, and smoother bridge geometry over the lake and river arms.
WHAT'S NEW
🌿 Themed grass ecosystems
Flowers, saplings, pebbles, grass tufts, and mushrooms now spawn in themed mini-ecosystems across the map meadows, groves, rocky patches, fungal clearings, and glades each with its own look and feel. Clusters are placed carefully around lanes, bases, towers, and bridges so the map stays readable in combat.
🦊 Animated ambient critters
One critter lives in each grass cluster, wandering within its home area:
• Crow — walks, pecks at seeds or fish, and takes off into short flights
• Fox — strolls, plays, rests, and wakes from sleep
• Porcupine — roams and curls up to nap
• Snake — slithers in red and albino variants
🌾 Water-side details
Reeds line the shores of the Y-shaped river arms; lily pads float on the central lake — small touches that make the water feel like part of the world, not just a flat overlay.
🌉 Bridge improvements
The central mid-lane bridge now anchors the lake layout. Two L-shaped wooden crossing bridges on the top and bottom lanes connect cleanly at the river mouths, with curved plank corners for a smoother, more natural look.
🗺️ Map polish
Alongside the new decor pass, the grass background, lane alignment, water overlay, and carpet effect received fixes for a cleaner, more consistent battlefield at every resolution.
This is a purely visual and ambient update no gameplay balance changes.
Thank you for playtesting Stick Wars: The Laneborn. Spot a critter napping between waves? That's a feature.
