Radar Identified — Update v0.86R
Voice Control Is Live · 4 New Playable Sectors · The Last Big One Before 1.0

Hey everyone,The headline first: you can now control your traffic by voice. Plus four new playable sectors, editable flight plans, smarter coordination, far more display customization — and a word on what comes next, because this is likely the last feature update before 1.0.🎙️ Voice Control — Live (Still in Testing)
Push-to-talk voice control is switched on. Speak your clearances — climb, descend, headings, speed, direct, handoff and more — and recognition runs entirely offline on your machine: no internet connection, nothing uploaded, your microphone audio never leaves your computer. Train the recogniser for best accuracy. And here's the trick that makes it flow: the mouseover target. When a clearance is recognised but the callsign is hard to catch (some airline names just are), the command goes to the aircraft you're hovering — so you can point at a target and simply speak the instruction. It makes voice control genuinely usable even before you've mastered the phraseology.Voice control is still in testing — feedback in the Discord shapes how it lands in 1.0.🇩🇪🇨🇭🇮🇹 4 New Playable Sectors
The sector map grows by four:

  • Koblenz Radar — Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland and the Eifel; dense Rhine-corridor traffic funnelling toward the Frankfurt complex

  • Paderborn Radar (beta) — new German upper sector with overflight traffic

  • Zürich — upper sector from FL245

  • Milano — upper sector from FL245

Zürich, Paderborn and Milano handle FL245 as the airspace division correctly: lowest usable level FL250, exit levels read right, and the sector below clears traffic to FL240 max. The airspace around the Alps got cleaned up too — a sector-less gap near Alpin is closed, an overlap with Padova is fixed, and Alpin is reachable on the coordination phone from Zürich, München and Stuttgart.🎛️ Way More Customization
Your radar, your way — this update adds a whole set of new display options:

  • Target visibility distance — hide radar targets beyond a chosen distance from your sector centre to cut clutter and boost performance. Your own traffic is always shown.

  • WAYPOINTS and AIRPORTS toggles directly in the DISP menu — show or hide entire map layers on the fly

  • Sector boundary display options — control how boundaries are drawn on your scope

  • Auto de-overlap toggle — turn automatic label declutter on or off

  • Interactive background traffic — select and drag dim neighbouring-sector labels for a read-only readout, no accidental heading vectors

  • Labels no longer jitter when zooming — they hold position instead of hopping between slots

📋 Flight Plan Editing — Two Ways In
You can now amend an aircraft's route and levels. Open Flight Data from the FD button in the top bar (search a flight, open, edit) or select an aircraft → INFO → EDIT FPL. Add, remove or reorder waypoints, change the destination or requested level as a draft, then execute or reset. The Flight Data and info panels also got bigger, more legible type.☎️ Smarter Coordination Phone

  • REQFL now offers only reachable levels — respecting the aircraft's ceiling, your sector's floor/ceiling and the semicircular rule, instead of a blind ±20 ladder. Works in both directions, including setting an entry level before the handoff reaches you.

  • New reason: APP-CLM/DEC (non-level handoff) — ask the next sector to accept an aircraft still climbing or descending to a level you pick. Once agreed, the aircraft keeps moving toward that level across the boundary.

🗺️ Sector Selection & Briefing
The map opens framed on the playable sectors instead of the whole world, and the briefing shows the spoken position callsign and sector name separately.🐛 Fixes
Fixed a macOS packaging issue that prevented launching, plus flight-plan editing glitches — drafts no longer lost by stray clicks, correct row marking, scrolling reaches the last row.

🛫 The Road to 1.0 — And BeyondThis is most likely the last big feature update before Version 1.0. From here, the focus shifts to bugfixing, polish and stability — making sure everything you've seen added over the past months lands rock-solid for the full release. But to be very clear: 1.0 is not the finish line. Development doesn't slow down after release — quite the opposite. Several new features are already in the works, and there's something bigger in preparation that we're not ready to talk about yet. Those who've followed the roadmap closely might have a hunch. 👀Thank you for every bug report, every suggestion and every session you've flown — this game is shaped by its community more than anything else. Now let's get 1.0 over the line.Happy controlling! ✈️
