Diagnostics & support
- Settings → Diagnostics shows a read-only excerpt of your recent local EchoKey logs so you can see what will help before you attach anything.
- One click opens the Report a bug form, where you can describe the issue and optionally upload a .txt or .log file (as on the site).
- Open log folder and copy log path stay available for quick access to full files on disk.
Startup diagnostics may include steamConfigured (whether a Steam app ID is set for the build) — no Steam IDs or other account identifiers.
Global hotkeys (sounds)
- New playback mode Double-click: two quick presses within about 0.45 seconds play the sound once (a single press does not start playback).
- New playback mode Hold (release to stop): the sound plays while the hotkey chord is held; releasing stops playback, including your fade-out when configured.
- Reliability fixes for hold mode: correct play mode registration with the main process and dependable key-up handling from the global hook so “release to stop” works as expected.
Thank you for playing EchoKey — if anything looks off after the update, use Report a bug or the Contact page for general questions.
