This update rebuilds the Guild window from the ground up as the new Guild Hall, overhauls bounties and the Bingo Book, brings emoji, mentions and suggestions to chat, and turns choosing your mastery into the Mastery Awakening!
The guild window has been completely rebuilt. It's now split into tabs: Hall, Members, Perks, Board, Allies, Manage and Find a guild. Ninja without a guild get Invitations and Create a guild instead.
The Hall
Your guild's crest flies on a nobori banner, with the guild's level, what the next level brings, your own standing and the guild notice. The Chronicle keeps the guild's history: who joined, donations, promotions, level-ups and new alliances.
A Hall That Grows
Your guild starts out as a camp, becomes a dojo at level 10, a fortress at level 30 and a castle at level 50. The top ten guilds by Guild XP also show their place.
Members
The Roll Call shows guildmates standing in the hall with you. The roster can be searched, filtered and sorted, and now shows guildmates on other maps too (unless they hide their location). Whisper, invite to team or open a member's menu right from their row. Menus only show what your rank can actually do, and anything you can't do tells you why.
Recruits
Join requests show up as posters to accept or decline, and the ninja asking now hears back whether they were accepted, declined or turned away.
Perks
The perk tree shows each perk's requirements and what its next rank gives before you spend a point.
Board
Committee members and above can pin up to three posts, which stay at the top. Anyone can delete their own posts.
Allies
Veterans and above can propose an alliance to any guild by name. The other guild's officers get a card to accept or decline.
Manage
Recruitment settings with a live preview of your guild's poster, the Crest Forge, what each rank can do, friendly fire and leadership in one place.
Find a Guild
Browse every guild in the game on a noticeboard, not just the ones that happen to be loaded, and search, filter or sort them (now including by most online). The top three guilds get medals.
Invite Anyone
You can now invite ninja by name even when they're offline, and see your pending invitations with who sent them and when they expire.
Guild Celebrations
Level-ups, promotions, new members, raised perks and join requests now get their own moments. They wait until you're out of combat, and you can set them to Full, Compact or Off in Settings.
Guild Pride
Guild chat has its own jade colour and leads with your guild's crest. Crests also show in the Friends list, the Bingo Book, guild invitations and alliance requests.
Badges
The tabs, the Guild button and the Menu Wheel show a badge for join requests, unspent perk points and new board posts.
For Guildmasters
Hand over leadership to a Committee member
Rename your guild, or hand it over, for 10,000 NC each under Manage > Leadership. If anything goes wrong, your NC is mailed back.
Kicking, resetting perks, spending perk points, removing an ally and deleting the guild icon now ask you to confirm first
Hunt Together
When a bounty is claimed, it's now split evenly between the claimer and any party members who fought the target and could claim it themselves. Before, only the final blow got anything.
No More Bounty Farming
Once you raise your bounty on a ninja or claim theirs, killing that same ninja again won't change any bounties for 30 minutes. You'll be told when you can claim again.
Battle Injuries Explained
A Battle Injury on you or your target stops a bounty claim, but nobody was ever told. You're now told whose injury blocked it, injured ninja get a bandage in the Bingo Book, and the target frame shows who's injured instead of "Bounty Claimable".
Know When You're Tracked
You're now warned when your bounty gets high enough for the Bingo Book to show where you are, and told when it drops back below.
Bingo Book Search, Sort and Filter
Search by name, sort by reward, level, kills or name, and filter to ninja who are tracked or who you can claim. Ninja you can't claim are dimmed with the reason why.
Find Them on the World Map
A tracked ninja's location in the Bingo Book now has a button that opens the World Map on their area, with every tracked ninja marked by name.
How Bounties Work
The bounty tooltip on your character card, and a new help mark in the Bingo Book, now explain the full rules.
Pay or collect bounties only at a Bounty Station
Emoji Type :) :D <3 :( and more and they turn into emoji. Emoji from your system's emoji keyboard or clipboard work too, and show in chat, chat bubbles and blessing bubbles.
Every Language Works
Emoji and non-Latin text used to vanish from longer messages. Every script now comes through.
Mentions
When someone says your name, the line is highlighted in gold and a soft bell plays. You can turn the sound off with Mention Sound in Settings.
Suggestions While You Type
Commands and player names are suggested as you type. Up and Down pick one, Tab or Enter takes it.
Smoother Chat Log
A "new messages" button while you're scrolled up, the time on hover, repeated lines counted as ×N, long words wrapped instead of overflowing, and clickable names to whisper or ignore. The chat log is also much lighter to draw when chat is busy. Despite this, the Chatbox is even more optimized now thanks to caching!
Resize From Any Corner
The chat box now resizes from the corner facing the middle of the screen, wherever you've put it.
Links
Links in chat now ask before opening. Only staff can post links in chat from now on.
Choosing your mastery is now a ritual! Take the chakra paper test to find your nature (it burns, is cut, crinkles, crumbles or soaks), or face a trial for Taijutsu, Medical or Weapon.
Hold Charge (or Select, or the mouse) to confirm your choice. Let go early to change your mind.
Once it's sealed, you'll see the jutsu you can learn next
Controllers now vibrate during the awakening. Turn it off with Vibration in Settings > Controls > Controller.
Ninja Tools Clash Mid-Air
Enemy kunai, shuriken and senbon that meet in flight now spark, deflect and bounce off each other instead of passing through.
