The Book of Truth now reads like paper under a single lantern

Before dawn, you sit down with the Book of Truth. What you saw and heard in the inn becomes a card, and the cards go into the blanks. Nothing haunts you here. The only thing that turns up is the fact of what you failed to notice.

We reworked this page. The fibre and the laid lines of the washi are unchanged; only the rules, the shadows and the edges are cooled a little. In a room lit by one lantern, warm light and cool shadow should sit on the same sheet. The lit side is almost untouched, because a cool highlight makes paper look damp.

A card can be used as often as you like, but a used card is stamped in red. What you have already used will come back for you.
