AquaDesk Update 1.4 — Fireworks effect, the Platy, new decor, better swimming

A new effect: Fireworks

Fireworks now go up here and there from the floor of the tank — the first of a new kind of content called "Effects." There is nothing to place. Unlock it in the SP Shop and you can watch the fireworks from "Effects" in Arrange mode.

Peonies, chrysanthemums, rings, hearts, stars and plenty more — enjoy the whole range of shells!

It looks like watching a distant fireworks festival through the glass of your tank.

New fish: the Platy

A plump, rounded body in vermilion red. Very peaceful, unfussy about the water and hardy — the classic first fish. It swims briskly through the middle of the tank, and instead of forming a shoal the fish spread out as they please.
It is a livebearer: rather than laying eggs, it gives birth to fry that swim from the moment they arrive. The mother's belly slowly rounds out, and when the rear of it darkens, birth is near. The fry swim out from the back of her belly just as they are.

Cross them and patterns such as Three Spot and Tiger appear — go and find them.
The ones on sale in the shop are plain red platies, but just like every other tropical fish they carry the factors for patterns and colors. Pair them up and see what the next generation brings.

A new object: the Ramune Bottle

• Ramune Bottle — the soda of a Japanese summer festival. The water and the fish behind it show through the glass, and it is a lovely thing to watch. Note: unlock it from the SP Shop.

Better swimming

This time the work went into how a fish changes direction.

• The "head shake" — where the body alone turned toward the back or the front on every change of direction and snapped straight back — is gone. When a fish heads deeper or comes to the front, it turns its body properly and actually travels there.

• Fish swim into the back and come toward the front far more often, making full use of the depth of the tank.

• Fish no longer stop at the glass and rotate on the spot; they curve around toward the back or the front as they turn.

• Timid fish now slip right in among the leaves of a plant to hide, poking just their face out now and then to see how things are. Fish that have grown attached to you come out front a little more readily.

• Fixed a problem where the head of a slow-swimming fish could look like it was trembling, and the unnatural motion of a fish facing the front while drifting away into the back.

• After an update, a notice now tells you what has changed. You can read it again any time from "What’s New" in Settings.

• The fins of the Neon tetra, White Cloud Mountain minnow, Freshwater angelfish and Black phantom tetra are now translucent.

• The skills "Favorite Fish" and "Fish Moods" are now available in the demo, too.
