Crew traits & Backgrounds are here!

Your crew just got a lot more personal.

Background/Jobs

Every crew member now starts with a Background: Mechanic, Gunner, Cook, Medic, Drifter, Engineer, or Greenhorn. Each one comes with different starting skills and a personality shaped by their past.

Traits

On top of that, crew members can now have personality Traits that affect how they handle stress, combat, work, and survival. Some hold up better under pressure, others crack fast. Some recover morale quickly after a fight, others stay shaken for a while. Traits also affect panic resistance, health, crafting speed, gunnery reload times, walking speed, and how fast they get hungry or thirsty. A few social traits shape how well they bond with the rest of the crew, or how much they keep to themselves.

No two crew are the same anymore. Lose one, and it actually stings. You're not just losing a worker, you're losing the Veteran gunner who's been with you since the start, or the Cook who kept everyone fed through the worst of it.

Jump in and meet your crew.
