Lots of awesome new stuff in this update - my personal favorite is that I've turned the "Event Log" into a "Crew Reports" panel where the various stations of your submarine will be calling out information in the correct order. I found an original recording of the USS Sealion making an attack run, so mirror the callouts based on that.
This includes things like "Time to target" and lots of other cool stuff:

But there's a lot of other cool stuff as well! Check out the full list below:
Bugs Fixed
- Sea state now changes gradually at normal 1× speed instead of becoming stuck until higher time compression is used.
- Bearings that round past 359° now wrap to 000° instead of displaying 360°.
- Submerged 1/3 and 2/3 engine-order speeds are now more accurate, based on the U.S. Navy's Current Doctrine for Submarines.
- Blind Hunter now remembers surfacing and visual-optics use when you save and reload during an encounter, preventing false unlocks.
- Submerged battery endurance now drops sharply at high speed, reflecting the limits of WWII lead-acid batteries: a fully charged Gato-class boat lasts about an hour at Full Ahead and 36 minutes at Flank Ahead, while economical-speed endurance remains unchanged.
- Periscope vertical reticles now use the intended fine subdivisions at both 1.5× and 6× magnification, while the fixed surface optics retain their original scale.
- Resizing map lines, angles, and compass circles now switches to a precision crosshair, while moving a whole annotation keeps the hand cursor.
- Improved Simplified Chinese text across the app.
- Added a very missing acknowledgment to my wife who would like everyone to know she doesn't want to hear the Mars theme ever again if possible.
Fun New Stuff
- Crew reports have had a full realism pass grounded in the surviving USS Sealion attack recordings “Attack on Battleship Kongo” and “Attack on oiler,” along with the U.S. Navy’s “Shipboard Calls and Commands” training recordings: the right station now reports torpedo, hydrophone, aircraft, depth, tube, and damage callouts with localized phrasing.
- Added "Time to target" callouts to crew reports, based on the TDC settings, called out every 30 seconds and at 20 and 10 seconds left.
- Settings now offers a persistent Imperial or Metric unit system, converting speeds, depths, ranges, map annotations, sensor contacts, TDC readouts, and campaign mission distances across tactical displays.
- Made the Damage Control station be a lot prettier, with an at-a-glance engineering assessment, hull and flooding meters, sink-rate status, and an approximate repair estimate.
- I gave dialogs, panels, popovers, alerts, and other transient UI smoother appearing and fading transitions, making the interface easier to visually follow.
- Heading and depth dials now preview the value under the pointer with a gray readout and guide before you commit the command.
- Reviewed and improved the Learning Hub and translated all 31 articles into every supported language.
- The Select Tool now supports a configurable hold shortcut for placing timestamped map points, with Alt assigned by default.
