A New Adventure Craft Patch Is Live

First, thank you to everyone who has been jumping into the new build, sending us bug reports, sharing save files and helping us work through problems.

Since the PvE Survival Crafting Fest began, we’ve been seeing Adventure Craft’s visibility on Steam continue to climb. Compared with the rolling pre-Fest period, Steam impressions have increased by roughly 37% and store visits by around 24%!

More importantly, Steam is increasingly showing Adventure Craft through areas like Updated Games, tag browsing, recommendations and other discovery surfaces. It’s exciting to see more people finding the game again, and we really appreciate everyone who is giving this new version a chance.

Patch Notes

This update has mainly been focused on stability, bug fixing and cleaning up issues we’ve found since the major new build went live.

Fixed issue that stopped earning the Pet Reward from the To Do List.

Fixed a crash involving broken weapons. Breaking a weapon and then attempting to move the broken weapon into the inventory could cause the game to crash. This has now been corrected.

Fixed several texture issues and corrected a number of visual problems.

Updated information across various menus and continued cleaning up the information presented to players.

Updated the map indicators showing the locations of Card Vaults that appear during the night.

Corrected a number of Character names and titles as we continue reviewing and cleaning up the current game data.

We also fixed various additional small bugs and issues discovered through testing and player feedback.

We’re going to keep doing this throughout the Fest: fixing problems as we find them, improving the new-player experience and continuing to move Adventure Craft toward the state we want for its eventual full release.

Thank You for the Bug Reports!

A number of players have been going out of their way to help us find problems in the new build, and that has already been incredibly useful. Some of you have sent detailed explanations, screenshots and even save files so that we could investigate what was happening.

Thank you!

Adventure Craft is a very large game with a lot of interconnected systems, and having players actively helping us identify things we may have missed makes a huge difference. Please keep the reports coming.

The Official Adventure Craft Website & Encyclopedia

We’ve also been continuing to work on the new official Adventure Craft website:

www.adventurecraftgame.com

The Encyclopedia has already had a significant visual overhaul. When it first launched, the site had a much more generic web interface. We’ve now redesigned it to take its visual language directly from Adventure Craft itself, using the same kind of pixel-art grey windows, panels, buttons and item slots that appear throughout the game.

The goal is for the website to feel like an extension of Adventure Craft rather than a completely separate interface.

The Encyclopedia currently lets you search through thousands of items and more than 5,000 crafting, repair and reload relationships, including Recipes, Materials, Weapons, Equipment, Food and Devices.

If you’re trying to work out how something is made, the Encyclopedia is now one of the best places to look.

Coming Soon: What Drops What?

The next major Encyclopedia feature we’re currently working on is a full Loot Drops system.

The idea is simple:

What drops this item?

And:

What does this Character or Object drop?

We’re currently reviewing the Character data and preparing the first set of player-safe loot relationships. Once it’s ready, you’ll be able to look up an item and see which Characters or Objects can drop it, as well as look at a Character and see the loot that they may provide.

We expect to begin adding this functionality soon.

If you want to talk about Adventure Craft, compare discoveries, ask questions or report problems, Anteria’s Adventure Craft fan Discord is a great place to do it:

I check in there regularly as well.

Thank you again to everyone playing, testing and supporting Adventure Craft.

There’s still plenty to do, but the game is moving forward quickly now — and we’re going to keep pushing.
