Hello, Centurion,

After an emotional week, we have gathered all your feedback, reports, and ideas. We have already begun working on what will be the first post-launch update for Summa Expeditionis version 1.0.

Thank you very much to everyone who has taken the time to share your opinions and suggestions for improvement with us on Steam and Discord. More than 2,000 Centurions have joined this adventure in the last few days. Your help and support are essential for us to continue the expedition.

We are also sharing our medium-term plans for the game. Spoiler: a new campaign. And you will be the ones to choose which one we develop first.

Quality of Life Update (May 28, 2026)

The following points are the most requested by our Centurions and will be the focus of this first update:

  • Tutorialization: More clarity on how game mechanics work, how to access specific menus, and how to complete the questline more directly.

  • Raid System: improvements and balancing for how barbarians attack our camp, rework of the Alarm in camp.

  • Explanatory Pop-ups: We will add new explanatory messages in areas where you have let us know they are needed.

  • Crafting and Building Balance: We will do a fresh pass on all recipes and buildings in the game to make them feel more balanced.

  • Increased Storage Management: You will be able to choose which resources are stored in specific containers and which are not.

  • Equipment Functionality Polish: New ways to select equipment and automatic switching between tools and weapons when equipped.

  • Building View Improvements: Tree leaf opacity and blur adjustments.

  • Default Work Schedule Adjustments: Removing the midday break time.

  • Visual Glitch Bug Fixes: Flying objects, stuck javelins, and other annoying glitches.

  • Performance Optimization: We will conduct a new round of improvements focused on minimizing FPS stutters.

We will continue to include as much feedback and reporting as possible between now and the last week of May. So, if you have proposals, do not hesitate to share them here on Steam or in our Discord server.

Second Campaign (Q3 2026)

We want to keep involving our community as we have always done. For this reason, you decide the first campaign after the Cantabrian Wars. We have opened a vote on our Discord server that will be active until the launch of the first QoL update (May 28).

The options:

  • Parthia

  • Egypt

  • Greece

Vote Now!

This new campaign will include a completely new procedural map, new enemy, allied, and neutral factions, new animals and plants, new resources and buildings, and new weapons. A brand new challenge to face in the name of Rome.

Once again, thank you very much for your support and the time spent helping us improve Summa Expeditionis. See you at the frontier, Centurion.

Roma Victrix.
