I'm just going to be myself here. I've never done this before. I don't know what I'm doing. But I am making this game and it's going well. Total development time so far is roughly 26 months but I do have a full job and three kids so that accounts for the not so swift pace. However, the game is coming along. Lots of new stuff added and polished the last few weeks and I can definitely see big strides in the development as the project matures. I somehow thought that as the project got bigger the development would slow down but I feel like it's more like all the puzzles are finally starting to come together.

Here are some key highlights what's in the game right now:
— 55/90 Cards
— 83/150 player illustrations
— 27 Teams created
— 5 Team illustrations
— 7/50 Gear / Items
— 26 Match-ups against other teams
— Market where you can buy packs of cards and trade with an NPC
— Menu with basic settings
— Deck view (all your cards)
— Player view (all your players)
— Players have Scoring/Assist/Positioning stats + Gear
— Match is playable with cards, opponent, energy etc.
— A match either ends in victory or defeat (a draw triggers Overtime)

Since I intend to do an update at the end of each month here is a rough list of stuff completed in March 2026 (in no particular order)— 25 new cards
— Colored keywords in cards description
— Fixed quite a few bugs 😅
— UI polish
— Players can be trained to increase their stats
— Updated page titles
— Cards now have visible "trade value"
— Updated the graphics for upgraded cards
— Code refactor and cleanup
— Victory / Defeat panels at the end of match
— Music & SFX system + volume is now configurable in settings
— SFX for all buttons
— Music plays seamlessly between screens
— Added Rive animations to team stat changes in Match
— 50+ illustrations (cards, players, team logos etc)
— Updated the font with a few missing glyphs
— Added a Rive scene transition animation
— Tooltip redesign and implementation
— Match can go beyond four quarter (a.k.a. Overtime)
— Lot's of new card effects (f.ex. "Next card costs 0", "For each card in hand")

——————————That's it for March 2026. If you would like to know something specific about the game, the development or myself please feel free to drop me a line or comment. All the best,
Frilli

In-game event31 Aug 2026Summer UpdateIt's been two months since last update. But I've been busy even if I fell a bit behind on writing. 283 tasks completed across the two months, a good chunk of that was a big change I'd been putting off for a while. The Big Update: reworking the scoring system The biggest thing that happened this summer was ripping out Positioning and Rebound and replacing them with the new Flow-Matic meter (more…In-game event28 Jun 2026June UpdateThis is my favorite time of the month writing these devlogs. Not because I love writing or putting in together in general but because this is the only time I really allow myself to look back and see what I've been up to in the game development. Since I'm doing this game solo I try to have a fairly simple system of working. I use the Things app for tasks and I break features into small tasks and…In-game event1 Jun 2026May UpdateWhat I've been up to this past month It's been a busy one! I've been pushing hard across pretty much every part of the game at the same time. Art, code, design, and getting the word out. On the art side I've been grinding out pixel art — first version of all team logos, card illustrations, and character art including a new NPC and a kid you can trade cards with. Also updated the capsule art to…
