Spring Open Playtest – Date Change

Enginefall Playtest · published 9 Mar 2026, 17:02 UTC

All newsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

We are moving our Spring Open Playtest from April to May 12–19.

Why the Shift?

We have major new features that need a little more time to "cook." With 100+ playtests under our belt over the last year, we’ve learned that the best feedback comes when you’re having the most fun. Pushing the date ensures a polished experience that delivers the actionable insights we need for launch.

So What Happens In the Meantime?

  • From March 19-22, we will run a Closed Playtest to validate the build.

  • We will likely have a second Closed Playtest in April but we will confirm this closer to the date so remains TBC

This extra window also helps us reach more players to ensure the Open Playtest in May is a massive event.

Thank You

We want to thank you for your ongoing patience and support. Asking you to wait longer to board your first Titan Train is a decision we never take lightly, but we are committed to making it worth the wait. In the meantime, here is a sneak peek at what we’re working on:

  • Brand New Mega Train Exterior

  • Skyhooking

  • Development to Looting

  • Blueprints 2.0

  • Carriage Aesthetics

  • Placeable Mini-bases

  • Perk System

This and more!

We will be exploring these areas in dedicated posts as we lead up to the Spring Open Playtest, so follow along for more.

Behind the Team is a new series where we’ll occasionally pull back the curtain on the people building Enginefall, what they’re working on, and some of the decisions that happen along the way. For our first entry, Joe takes a look at one of the areas we’ve been actively iterating on: Base buildi…Community13 Aug 2026The Enginefall Creator Program Is BackThe Enginefall Creator Program is officially relaunching , and applications are now open.
